Sam Gaviglio allowed five earned runs over five innings but got a win Monday versus the Rockies.

Gaviglio walked two and gave up six hits, including two home runs, but the Seattle offense backed him with six runs and the 27-year-old right-hander came away with his first career major league win. He tallied just one strikeout in the ugly outing.

Tyler Chatwood was lit up for six earned runs over just 4 1/3 innings Monday in the Rockies' loss to the Mariners.

Chatwood gave up just one hit and struck out eight batters over seven shutout innings in his last start Wednesday versus the Phillies, but Monday was a very different experience for the 27-year-old right-hander. He walked three, gave up seven hits, and tallied only three strikeouts. Chatwood stands 4-7 on the year with a 5.04 ERA and 1.40 WHIP.

Bryce Harper was ejected Monday after charging the mound and throwing punches at the Giants' Hunter Strickland in a benches-clearing brawl.

Strickland famously served up two home runs to Harper in the 2014 NLDS, and this was the first time he had faced him since then. His first pitch drilled Harper in the hip, which was surely a coincidence. Harper barked at the pitcher and pointed at him with his bat before then charging the mound, throwing his helmet and then wielding some wild punches. The star outfielder is no doubt facing a suspension, and Strickland, who also threw punches and was ejected, is, as well.

Rangers optioned INF/OF Drew Robinson to Triple-A Round Rock.

He's clearing room for Adrian Beltre's return. Robinson was just called up Sunday.

Rangers activated 3B Adrian Beltre from the 10-day disabled list.

He'll make his season debut Monday after missing almost a full two months with a strained right calf. Beltre originally suffered the injury back in mid-February and then aggravated it in March.

Mike Trout will not play Monday, but the Angels are still awaiting MRI results on his left thumb.

They seemed to tip their hand with Eric Young spotted in the clubhouse, but nothing is official in regards to the extent of Trout's injury yet. Obviously, more news on Trout will be available soon.

David Robertson struck out a pair over a scoreless inning to notch his eighth save of the season in Monday's win over the Red Sox.

Tasked with protecting a one-run lead, Robertson knifed through Christian Vazquez, Jackie Bradley and Sandy Leon on 14 pitches with a strikeout, groundout and another strikeout. Robertson has been excellent this season with a 2.29 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 28/6 K/BB ratio over 19 2/3 innings. He'll likely be closing for a contender come August.

Melky Cabrera's bat stayed red-hot Monday, as he ripped a three-run homer and had an RBI single in a win over the Red Sox.

David Price got through his first two innings of 2017 in scoreless fashion, but he issued a pair of one-out walks in the third and Cabrera made him pay with a blast over the left field wall. Cabrera then plated the winning run in the seventh inning with an infield single. The veteran outfielder got off to a rotten start this season but is now batting .327 with four dingers and 14 RBI over his last 13 games.
