Alfredo Figaro gave up five runs -- four earned -- over 4 1/3 frames in Tuesday's loss to the Astros.

He yielded five hits, walked a pair and struck out three. Figaro tossed seven shutout innings against the Marlins his last time out, but he was unable to duplicate that effort in another favorable matchup. If he gets another start, it will come this weekend against the Braves.

Brandon Crawford left Tuesday's game against the Padres with sprains of his index and middle fingers on his right hand.

Crawford suffered the ailment during a stolen base attempt in the second inning. It's not clear at this point how serious it is. The Giants should have an update on his status after the game.

Cliff Lee held the Nationals to two runs over eight innings in the Phillies' 4-2 win on Tuesday.

It was classic Lee, as he allowed two solo home runs but just five hits total on the evening. He also had nine strikeouts and no walks for the night, moving him to a 98:17 K:BB ratio on the year. The left-hander's name has been mentioned in trade rumors of late, but wherever he pitches he'll continue to be one of the best starters in the game. His next start will come Monday in San Diego.
Jun 18 - 11:52 PM

Matt Dominguez smacked a grand slam in Tuesday's win over the Brewers.

Dominguez lofted a Tom Gorzelanny pitch high into the air and ultimately into the Crawford Boxes in the seventh inning. He also added a single and a sacrifice fly. Dominguez is batting only .236 this season, but he now has 10 homers and 40 RBI, numbers much better than expected from the slick fielder.

Michael Young went 3-for-4 with three doubles in the Phillies' win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Young doubled in a run and scored in the Phillies' decisive three-run sixth inning, his second of the night against Nationals starter Ross Detwiler. The 36-year-old is hitting .288/.356/.390 this season.
Jun 18 - 11:45 PM

Mets recalled OF Andrew Brown from Triple-A Las Vegas.

Brown has three hits, including a homer, in 15 at-bats this season for the Mets. He's mashed to the tune of a .349/.435/.664 in 2013 at Triple-A and should see some starts against lefties.
Jun 18 - 11:40 PM

Mets designated OF Collin Cowgill for assignment.

Cowgill had some chances with the Mets but wound up batting just .180. He's had success in the minors, though, and could draw some interest on waivers.
Jun 18 - 11:38 PM

Rockies acquired RHP Collin McHugh from the Mets in exchange for OF Eric Young.

McHugh will be assigned to Double-A Tulsa. The 26-year-old had a 10.29 ERA in seven innings with the Mets this year.
