Lions DT Tyrunn Walker exited Monday night's Week 4 game against the Seahawks with an ankle injury.
The Lions are losing key players to injuries Monday, including TE Eric Ebron and DT Haloti Ngata. Walker was carted off the field in the fourth quarter and may be done for the year. Walker and Ngata is the Lions' starting duo inside. Caraun Reid and Gabe Wright are left on the depth chart at defensive tackle.
Lions DT Haloti Ngata exited Monday night's Week 4 game against the Seahawks with a calf injury.
Ngata went down early in the third quarter. The Lions will use Tyrunn Walker and Caraun Reid inside on early downs, and Jason Jones slides inside vs. the pass.
Fred Jackson exited Monday night's Week 4 game against the Lions with an ankle injury.
Jackson was getting upfield when Lions DT Tyrunn Walker fell on the back of his legs with his entire body. Jackson is likely dealing with a significant sprain. Before leaving, Jackson ran for 21 yards on three carries and caught 2-of-4 targets for 33 yards. He was seeing increased snaps with Marshawn Lynch out.
Eric Ebron exited Monday night's Week 4 game against the Seahawks with a left knee injury.
Ebron was hurt while blocking when C Travis Swanson tumbled into the side of Ebron's leg. Luckily for Ebron, he was able to pull his leg out while Swanson was falling on it, but it had the looks of a sprain of some kind. Before exiting midway through the second quarter, Ebron caught 2-of-3 targets for 22 yards.
Seahawks CB Marcus Burley exited Week 4 against the Lions with a thumb injury.
Burley is the Seahawks' nickel corner. With Tharold Simon inactive, DeShawn Shead and rookie Tye Smith will slide in when Seattle is in nickel and dime.
With Joique Bell (ankle) out, Ameer Abdullah is listed as the Lions' starting running back for Monday night's Week 4 game against the Seahawks.
It's a much-needed move for the Lions, even if it's coming at the expense of an injury to Bell. Bell has been awfully ineffective through three games, averaging barely over 1.0 YPC on 20 totes, yet coach Jim Caldwell and/or OC Joe Lombardi have refused to send him to the bench. Abdullah hasn't lit the world on fire with his 3.9 YPC, but he has two touchdowns and is a threat to take it the distance anytime he touches the ball. He needs more reps. UDFA Zach Zenner should also see his first snaps since Week 1 on Monday. Abdullah-Zenner might be the backfield of the future in Detroit, and maybe that future will begin tonight.
Seahawks declared Marshawn Lynch, DT Brandon Mebane, S Steven Terrell, CB Tharold Simon, LB Kevin Pierre-Louis, OG Kristjan Sokoli, and DE Demarcus Dobbs inactive for Monday night's Week 4 game against the Lions.
Bruce Irvin (ankle) is active. Lynch (hamstring) was ruled out Sunday and will be replaced by Thomas Rawls and Fred Jackson. Mebane has a groin injury.
Lions RE Ziggy Ansah (groin) is active for Monday night's Week 4 game against the Seahawks.
He was listed as questionable after leaving last week's game early. Ansah hasn't made a ton of noise as a pass rusher with just six pressures through three weeks, but is playing top-notch run defense on the edge. Inactive for the Lions are Joique Bell (ankle), RG Larry Warford, WLB DeAndre Levy (hip), Brandon Pettigrew (hamstring), OT Corey Robinson, DT Jermelle Cudjo, and DE Phillip Hunt.
