Taijuan Walker (foot) will make a rehab start with Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Walker got through another bullpen session Friday with no issues, clearing the way for his return to game action. He's only missed about three weeks of action, so Walker might need just the one rehab outing before rejoining the Mariners' rotation.

ESPN's Jerry Crasnick reports that the Indians, Tigers, Angels, Twins, Athletics, Padres, Mariners and Nationals are on Jonathan Lucroy's no-trade list.

The Indians are the most significant club on the list, as they are one of the teams in on Lucroy. The Tigers also briefly pursued Lucroy but are now out of the mix. Ultimately, it shouldn't be an obstacle to any trade, especially with Lucroy previously saying publicly that he wants to play for a contender.

FOX Sports' Ken Rosenthal reports that the Nationals have inquired on Mark Melancon.

Rosenthal adds that there are "multiple teams" pursuing the closer. The Pirates are in the thick of the Wild Card hunt, but it appears they still might consider trading Melancon, who is an impending free agent. Rosenthal notes that the Nats have also inquired on Wade Davis, as they seem likely to acquire a reliever this weekend with Jonathan Papelbon struggling.

Nelson Cruz (foot) is back in the Mariners' lineup Friday.

Cruz missed a game after fouling a ball off his foot, but he's fine. He's in right field and batting cleanup against Jon Lester and the Cubs.

Brayan Peña (knee) has resumed taking batting practice and catching bullpen sessions.

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny indicated that Peña has lost roughly 15 pounds since being placed on the disabled list a few weeks ago with soreness in his surgically-repaired left knee. However, it's unclear when he might be ready for a rehab assignment.

Jhonny Peralta (thumb) will join the Cardinals in Miami as soon as Friday to resume on-field baseball activities.

Peralta would prefer to avoid a rehab assignment as he works his way back from soreness in his surgically-repaired left thumb. He's eligible for activation early next week, although it's unclear whether he might possibly be ready by that time.
Jul 29 - 11:36 AM

Brandon Moss (ankle) went hitless in three at-bats in his first rehab game with Double-A Springfield on Thursday.

He'll remain with Springfield through the weekend and is on track to be activated from the disabled list early next week if all goes well. Moss has missed most of July with a left ankle sprain.
Jul 29 - 11:33 AM

Cubs activated INF/OF Chris Coghlan from the 15-day disabled list.

Coghlan has been out nearly all month with a right rib cage injury. He's in left field and batting leadoff Friday.
