George Kittle caught 1-of-2 targets for 16 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Cowboys.

Oct 22 - 7:31 PM

Travis Benjamin took his only target 42 yards for a touchdown and returned a punt for a score in the Chargers' Week 7 win over the Broncos.

Oct 22 - 7:30 PM

Pierre Garcon caught 5-of-7 targets for 49 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Cowboys.

The targets were Garcon's second fewest of the season, while the yards were his third fewest. The Cowboys were teeing off rookie C.J. Beathard in his first career start, making 49ers momentum hard to come by. It's going to be a rollercoaster with Beathard under center, but Garcon has a plus Week 8 matchup in the Eagles. He'll be in the WR2 mix for that one.

Philip Rivers completed 15-of-26 passes for 183 yards and two touchdowns in the Chargers' Week 7 win over the Broncos.

Rivers had a mostly non-descript game against the tough defense, but he made some big throws when it mattered including a big third-and-11 conversion to Hunter Henry to keep the clock moving in the fourth quarter and a 42-yard touchdown later in that drive to kill off the game. Benjamin did most of the work on that score, and Rivers' first touchdown was just a dump-off in the flat to Austin Ekeler in the second quarter. They all count, however, and Rivers now has multiple scores in three of his last four games. He will look to keep that going in a great matchup against the Patriots next week.
Oct 22 - 7:28 PM

Dez Bryant caught 7-of-10 targets for 63 yards and a touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 7 win over the Cowboys.

Bryant's score was a two-yarder in the fourth quarter, and required some fancy footwork at the back of the end zone. Bryant tapped his toes before falling out of bounds. He's now drawn at least 10 targets in 2-of-3 games, as well as 3-of-6. He's averaging 9.6, and has four touchdowns. Bryant isn't making as many big plays as he once did, but his workload and scoring prowess will keep him in the WR1 mix going forward.
Oct 22 - 7:26 PM

Carlos Hyde rushed 14 times for 68 yards in the 49ers' Week 7 loss to the Cowboys.

Hyde added four receptions for 20 additional yards. Hyde's day was pretty solid all things considered, as the 49ers stuck with the running game even in a blowout. Hyde was on the field until almost the game's final moments. He also finally appeared to be over his hip injury, ripping a number of chunk gains. With the Matt Breida episode long in the rear-view mirror, Hyde will remain locked in as an RB2 for Week 8 against the Eagles.
Oct 22 - 7:24 PM

Trevor Siemian completed 25-of-35 passes for 207 yards, zero touchdowns, an interception, and a lost fumble in the Broncos' 21-0 loss at the hands of the Chargers Week 7.

While the offensive line and lack of running game did not help, Siemian struggled plenty on his own in this one. He had the ball stripped from behind while rolling out of the pocket in the first half, he fumbled again late in the game – the offense recovered -- and he threw multiple passes which probably should have been intercepted. He finally was picked trying to force the action on fourth down in the final quarter. More importantly, he simply could not get anything going on offense for the fourth game in a row, a run in which Denver has three total touchdowns. Swapping in Brock Osweiler probably is not the answer, but Denver has to figure things out quickly. With a trip to Kansas City next up on the schedule, the path is not going to get any easier this week.
Oct 22 - 7:21 PM

Making his first career start, C.J. Beathard completed 22-of-38 passes for 235 yards, zero touchdowns and zero interceptions in the 49ers' 40-10, Week 7 loss to the Cowboys, adding five carries for 30 yards and a score.

Although Beathard threw zero picks, he lost a pair of fumbles. DeMarcus Lawrence ran right by LT Joe Staley to force fumble No. 1, though Beathard never felt the rush on fumble No. 2. Beathard took an absurd beating, getting walloped for five sacks. He made some nice plays, but one of his longest conversions was an accidental completion to Marquise Goodwin. Two receivers were in the area. Beathard was lucky to escape without a pick. Ultimately, there were enough positives that there will be no questions about coach Kyle Shanahan sticking with Beathard going forward. The Eagles are a foreboding road matchup for Week 8.
