Tyler Saladino did a bit of everything Tuesday, finishing 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, two stolen bases and two walks in a 6-4 win over the Mets.

The stolen bases were his first two of the season, a surprising fact given that his speed, not his power, is what stood out in the minors. The homer, off Mets reliever Hansel Robles in the eighth inning, was his third of the year. Saladino's playing time continues to be erratic behind Jimmy Rollins, but the 26-year-old could be garnering more at-bats while hitting .290/.320/.449.

James Paxton will be called up Wednesday.

That's the only detail available at this point. Felix Hernandez is currently scheduled to start Wednesday night against the Padres, so this could involve a health situation with him (purely speculation). Paxton, 27, is sporting a 3.97 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 50/14 K/BB ratio in 47 2/3 innings this season at the Triple-A level.

Neil Walker went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's loss to the White Sox.

Walker took White Sox starter Mat Latos deep in the third inning, his second homer in as many games. He's now, somewhat quietly, fourth in the NL in homers with 13 through the season's first two months. The second baseman, playing for a payday this winter, is hitting .278/.335/.523 in his first season in Queens.

Dustin Pedroia went 2-for-5 with a solo homer in Tuesday's victory over the Orioles.

Pedroia followed Mookie Betts' dinger to lead off the game with a longball of his own. He's gotten a bit lost in the shuffle with what the Red Sox are doing offensively, but Pedroia has had a fantastic season so far with a .309/.370/.488 batting line, seven homers and 25 RBI.

David Robertson pitched a scoreless ninth inning against the Mets on Tuesday to earn his 13th save of the season.

Robertson fanned two in his clean inning of work. It was a perfect way to rebound after he allowed six runs over two-thirds of an inning in a disastrous loss to the Royals on Saturday. That meltdown inflated his ERA to 3.54, but Robertson has a 1.03 WHIP and 25/9 K/BB ratio over 20 1/3 innings and remains one of the best closers going.

Kevin Gausman recorded eight strikeouts but coughed up three home runs and five runs over six frames in Tuesday's loss to the Red Sox.

Gausman served up back-to-back shots to Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia to lead off the game and Betts got him again in the second with a three-run shot. The right-hander settled in after that, but by that time the damage was done. Gausman is winless in eight starts but boasts a 3.78 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 45/11 K/BB ratio over 47 2/3 innings. He'll face the Yankees at Camden Yards over the weekend.

Brett Eibner has been diagnosed with a lateral left ankle sprain.

A reevaluation is coming Wednesday, and this is probably not your average ankle sprain. Eibner had to be carted off the field Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium after injuring his lower left leg while trying to track down a shot to the left field wall.
May 31 - 10:48 PM

Todd Frazier hit a two-run home run in Tuesday's win over the Mets.

It was Frazier's only hit in five at-bats. The slugger continues to be primarily all or nothing, leading the American League with 16 homers -- he's fifth in the league with 37 RBI -- but sporting just a .219/.309/.490 line.
