Pavel Datsyuk registered three assists to lead the Red Wings to a 4-3 shootout win over the Capitals in NHL action Monday night.
Although Datsyuk’s performance this season is being overlooked by many, due to the amazing play of linemate Henrik Zetterberg, don’t fall into that trap. The shifty center now has 41 points and ranks 10th in NHL overall scoring. Nicklas Lidstrom registered two assists in the contest, while Zetterberg scored his 24th goal of the season, registered an assist and took a game-high nine shots on goal. Tomas Holmstrom scored twice in the victory and now has 16 goals for the season. Jiri Hudler scored the winning goal in the shootout. Dec. 17 - 9:54 pm et |
