Bad news comes in threes, according to Dwight Schrute - and Kevin Martin, Anthony Randolph and Tyrus Thomas collectively count as bad news.

 Ike Diogu-F/C-HornetsNov. 7 - 2:06 pm et
Ike Diogu will be shut down for two more weeks after a medical exam determined that his strained left knee needs a therapeutic procedure.
"Then we'll see how he feels; it's kind of like a last resort, " Scott said. "Two weeks from now, we'll have a better idea if he can play." It sounds like Diogu's season could be in jeopardy, so there's currently no need to own him in any fantasy leagues.

 Michael Beasley-F-HeatNov. 7 - 1:59 pm et
Micahel Beasley hasn't played much in Heat fourth quarters and his numbers haven't been too exciting, but that could change.
"It's early," coach Erik Spoelstra said. "I like many things that Mike has done so far, but to be more specific, I like some of the defensive things and the rebounding numbers that he didn't necessarily do last year." Beasley should get better as the season progresses, but isn't a must-start as of yet.

 Elton Brand-F/C-76ersNov. 7 - 1:35 pm et
Elton Brand, who is averaging just 7.0 points and 4.5 rebounds in his last two games, has not been getting much second-half run from coach Eddie Jordan, but doesn't seem to have a problem with it.
Brand played just 19 minutes on Friday, four fewer than guard Willie Green, as Jordan has been playing a small lineup in the second halves. "We got the win," said Brand. "It's the coach's decision. "There's no need to talk about anything." Brand appears to be healthy, but is built for a half-court offense, which is the opposite of what Jordan's running in Philly.

 Troy Murphy-F/C-PacersNov. 7 - 1:29 pm et
Troy Murphy missed his second straight game Friday with a lower back injury and is listed as doubtful for Wednesday against the Warriors.
Murphy used to play for Golden State and there are several days for him to heal in time to play against his former mates, but it doesn't sound like there's much of a chance it will happen.

 Allen Iverson-G-GrizzliesNov. 7 - 1:15 pm et
Allen Iverson and coach Lionel Hollins have not had a single private conversation since AI signed with the Grizzlies.
"I think that’s probably the worst part of all this," Iverson said. "That while all this is going on, we have never talked to each other. That’s probably why it’s at this point right now. We’ve just never had a conversation." It's hard to understand how the head coach would not even stop to chat up such a big free-agent signee at some point before now, but it does help explain Iverson's early frustration in Memphis.
 Nate Robinson-G-KnicksNov. 7 - 1:10 pm et
Nate Robinson is expected to miss his fourth straight game on Saturday with a sprained ankle, but could play next week.
If he was dropped in your league and you're interested, now is the time to make the move.

 Eddy Curry-C-KnicksNov. 7 - 1:07 pm et
Eddy Curry has gotten himself into decent shape and is ready to return to practice for the Knicks in the near future.
"There’s a chance," Donnie Walsh said. "He’s very close...When you see him, he looks totally different," he said. "I was encouraged yesterday by what I saw." This is simply an FYI, and should not be misconstrued as a signal that fantasy owners should go pick up Curry. We'll be shocked if he offers much, if any, value this year. That said, the Knicks could use the extra body to eat up some minutes at center.
