    Doug Weight is expected to miss at least a week with an upper body injury.
    This has been a frustrating season for Weight, who has already missed time due to the H1N1 virus and a groin injury. He has six assists in 11 games this season.

    Radek Martinek will miss the remainder of the season because of a torn ACL in his right knee.
    Martinek will finish the 2009-10 campaign with two goals and three points in 16 games. He has played in eight season with the Islanders, but has never finished a season with more than 17 points or 40 penalty minutes.

    Michael Blunden (upper body) isn't expected to play Saturday.
    Blunden has no points and 13 penalty minutes in seven games this season. We'll keep you posted.

    Tuukka Rask might play in Saturday's game against the Sabres.
    Rask was the first goalie off the ice for the Bruins this morning. That's usually an indication of who will start, but we want to emphasize that there's currently no named goaltender for Saturday's game. Consider Rask the probable starter, but Tim Thomas could still end up playing in between the pipes.

    Jonas Gustavsson is expected to start in Saturday's game against Detroit.
    Gustavsson will be playing in his second game in as many nights after stopping 34 of 36 shots in a 3-2 victory Friday. Leafs fans have soured to Vesa Toskala and coach Ron Wilson will probably avoid having Toskala start at home whenever possible.

    Kris Russell is doubtful for Saturday's game due to an illness.
    Russell has no goals and four assists in 14 games this season. Consider him day-to-day for now.

    Alexandre Picard has been sent down to the minors.
    Picard didn't play in a single NHL game during this brief stint. He has two assists and 48 penalty minutes in 58 career NHL games.
