 Saku Koivu - CNov. 21 - 5:42 am et
Saku Koivu (groin) could return to action on Saturday.
Koivu practiced on Friday and while he hopes he can play on Saturday, is not committing to it. "It's possible," Koivu said. "I don't want to say yes or no. With these things, you kind of take it more and more and see how it reacts and if everything goes well then it's possible I'll play tomorrow." Koivu had started the season slowly with two goals and eight points in 15 games before the injury. He will test out the groin in the morning skate and the Ducks will determine if he is able to go. Stay tuned.

 James Wisniewski - DNov. 21 - 5:38 am et
James Wisniewski (bruised foot) and Steve Eminger (back spasms) sat out practice on Friday.
The Ducks had only five healthy defensemen at practice so if both are unable to go, they will likely have to recall a blueliner from the minors. Brett Festerling is the probable candidate. Wisniewski and Eminger will see how they feel at the morning skate on Saturday to determine their availability later that evening against the Sharks.

 Joffrey Lupul - WNov. 21 - 5:34 am et
Joffrey Lupul missed practice on Friday with tightness in his back.
Lupul will test out his back on Saturday to see if he is able to go against the San Jose Sharks. If Lupul is unable to go, Evgeny Artyukhin will take his spot on the second line alongside Saku Koivu (if healthy) and Teemu Selanne.

 James Wisniewski - DNov. 20 - 5:16 am et
James Wisniewski injured his foot in the first period of Thursday's game and did not return.
Wisniewski was injured when he blocked a shot by the Lightning's Paul Szczechura. The x-rays turned up negative but Wisniewski did not return. Consider him day-to-day for now. Wisniewski has yet to score this season but has 10 assists in 15 games to go along with 18 penalty minutes. He is a good 4-5 defenseman in deeper pools.

 Steve Eminger - DNov. 20 - 5:11 am et
Steve Eminger missed Thursday's game with back spasms.
Eminger has only one assist in 18 games with the Ducks this season, so this news shouldn't hurt your fantasy team as Eminger isn't fantasy worthy. Consider the defenseman day-to-day for now.

 Ryan Getzlaf - CNov. 20 - 1:15 am et
Ryan Getzlaf led the Ducks with a goal and two helpers, in Thursday’s 4-3 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.
Getzlaf is an amazing talent not only on the ice, but in the world of fantasy as well. His PIMs, goals and assist totals make him the complete player. Teemu Selanne, Bobby Ryan, and Scott Niedermayer notched goals as well.
 Jonas Hiller - GNov. 20 - 1:04 am et
Jonas Hiller kicked aside 21 of 24 shots leading the Ducks to a 4-3 victory over the Lighting Thursday night.
The merry-go-round in net continues in Anaheim. Hiller will have to string together a consistent run before he can be trotted out there nightly with confidence.
 Jean-Sebastien Giguere - GNov. 19 - 7:25 am et
Jean-Sebastien Giguere says it is up to himself and/or Jonas Hiller to get the Ducks out of their slump.
"There's no doubt in my mind that, altogether, if the team wants to move forward, goaltending is going to have to be better," Giguere said. "Try to give the team a chance to win every night. We know that as a goalie tandem. We're aware of it. We want to do better." The Ducks have allowed 67 goals in only 19 games thus far and are sitting 28th in a 30 team league. It is very hard to recommend either Duck netminder at this time in fantasy pools.

 Evgeny Artyukhin - WNov. 19 - 7:19 am et
Evgeny Artyukhin will face his ex-Tampa Bay teammates for the first time on Thursday.
Artyukhin was acquired by the Ducks in August for Drew Miller who has since moved on to the Red Wings. "I'm very excited," Artyukhin said. The feisty Russian could easily get into a fight tonight so don't be surprised if you see his name on the score sheet.

 Ryan Carter - CNov. 19 - 7:12 am et
Ryan Carter (foot) has been placed on the injured reserve list by the Anaheim Ducks.
Carter has missed the last three games and did not practice on Wednesday. If he is on your fantasy team for any reason, keep him on your bench.

 Saku Koivu - CNov. 19 - 7:10 am et
The Anaheim Ducks have placed Saku Koivu (groin) on the injured reserve list.
The move was retroactive and since Koivu has already sat out over a week, it is still possible for him to play tonight against the Lightning. Koivu practiced on Wednesday, so his return is imminent. Koivu was off to a bit of a slow start with only two goals and eight points in 15 games before missing the last four games with the groin injury. Make sure he is healthy before getting him back into your fantasy lineup.

 MacGregor Sharp - CNov. 19 - 7:03 am et
The Anaheim Ducks have recalled MacGregor Sharp from Bakersfield of the ECHL.
The Ducks put Saku Koivu and Ryan Carter on the injured reserve list on Wednesday and needed to call up a center. Sharp had four goals and 14 points in 14 games with Bakersfield. He should have little, if any, fantasy value, but could make his NHL debut on Thursday against Tampa Bay.

 Matt Beleskey - WNov. 18 - 9:22 am et
The Anaheim Ducks have reassigned three minor-leaguers to the Toronto Marlies of the AHL.
Matt Beleskey, Troy Bodie and defenseman Brett Festerling were playing in San Antonio, but have since been moved to Toronto as the Ducks were not happy with their roles on the Coyotes' minor-league team.

 Corey Perry - WNov. 18 - 9:18 am et
Corey Perry saw a regular shift on the Ducks' penalty kill unit on Monday for the first time in his NHL career.
He ended up with 5:26 of PK time, while spending 3:09 on the ice for power-play time, in the team's 5-2 loss to Pittsburgh. Perry logged 24:36 total in the game. "I like being there," Perry said of his shorthanded play. "It keeps you in the game. You're always involved. For me, you stay involved in the game and the intensity just rises." Keeping him on the ice longer and into the contest more should help his offensive totals. Perry is currently riding a 12-game point streak for Anaheim.

 Joffrey Lupul - WNov. 18 - 9:11 am et
Coach Randy Carlyle may change up some line combinations heading into Thursday's game with the Lightning.
Joffrey Lupul may end up on the third line with center Todd Marchant, as the pair played briefly together in Monday's loss to Pittsburgh. Lupul logged a season-low 9:48 of ice time in the defeat.

 Corey Perry - WNov. 17 - 6:59 am et
Corey Perry extended his scoring streak to 12 games on Monday night against Pittsburgh.
He posted an assist in the Ducks' 5-2 loss to the Penguins, giving him nine goals and 17 points on his current point streak. Perry can contribute in several categories for your fantasy team and is a must-start when Anaheim plays. He has 13 goals, 24 points and 22 penalty minutes in 19 contests this season.

 Saku Koivu - CNov. 17 - 6:54 am et
Saku Koivu is still day-to-day with a groin injury.
He skated on Monday morning before sitting out for a fourth straight time against the Penguins. Koivu said the injury is not serious, but there is no timetable set for his return.

 Teemu Selanne - WNov. 16 - 10:35 pm et
Teemu Selanne scored late in the second, but the Ducks couldn't muster a comeback against the Penguins on Monday. Pittsburgh came out on top 5-2.
Selanne continues to find the back of the net despite getting up there in age. He has ten goals on the year.
 Ryan Getzlaf - CNov. 15 - 9:21 am et
Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry extended their respective point streaks to 11 games on Saturday night.
Getzlaf posted a goal and three assists in Anaheim's 7-4 loss to Detroit, while Perry notched a goal and a helper in the game. Getzlaf has recorded two goals and a whopping 17 assists over his 11-game streak. Perry has registered nine goals and 16 points over that span. The dynamic duo of the Ducks has been red hot and both should be active in all fantasy formats.

 Joffrey Lupul - WNov. 15 - 9:13 am et
Joffrey Lupul had been held without a point for six straight games heading into Saturday night's action.
He put an end to that slump with his sixth goal of the season in a 7-4 loss to Detroit on Saturday night. However, he said it was only a matter of time before they started going in for him. "I've been getting my chances every game," he said. "I've been getting shots. Last game, I think I hit a post and a crossbar in Columbus. Tonight I had a couple of good chances. It's when you stop moving your feet and you're not getting the chances, then it's a big problem. It felt good to get one and tie the game. Obviously it never really feels good in a losing cause." Lupul has nine points in 18 games this campaign.
