NFL Network's Mike Mayock believes Tim Tebow can develop into a quarterback who can "win football games" in the NFL in 2-3 years.
Our favorite draft analyst guesses that Tebow will be a second-round pick, but he'd advise holding off until the third because of the time needed to fix the Florida QB's throwing motion and footwork. Per Profootballtalk.com, Mayock added: "If you're ever going to take a chance on a kid, this is the kid."

The Seahawks are still unsure of LT Walter Jones' plans for 2010.
Jones announced "it is time for me to retire from football" on Twitter Sunday, but he's publicly stated that he wants to keep playing if possible. While he's supposedly exchanged communication with the front office this week, the team has yet to "reconfirm" Jones' plans.
 John Bowie-DB- Browns Feb. 9 - 7:44 pm et

Browns signed CB John Bowie to a reserve/future contract.
A 2007 fourth-round pick by the Raiders, Bowie has intriguing speed but can't stay healthy. He's played in just five games the past three years.
 Greg Olsen-TE- Bears Feb. 9 - 7:40 pm et

Greg Olsen didn't handle his blocking duties well in 2009, according to "multiple scouts who watched the Bears regularly."
The news isn't surprising since Olsen has always been lauded much more for his receiving ability. It's a significant concern for 2010, though, since Mike Martz won't be using nearly as many two-tight end sets as Ron Turner did. It's yet another reason to dock Olsen's fantasy outlook under Martz.
 Felix Jones-RB- Cowboys Feb. 9 - 7:22 pm et

According to beat writer Tim MacMahon, the Cowboys' "easy decision" in the backfield is to make Felix Jones the "lead horse."
MacMahon believes Marion Barber may "already be wearing down" and that his struggles in short yardage are a "serious concern." The team is expected be open to trading either Barber or Tashard Choice this offseason, but they may be hesitant to pull the trigger after all three backs missed time with injuries in 2009. For a team that has the look of a serious contender, the backfield depth is more necessity than luxury.
 Donte' Stallworth-WR- Browns Feb. 9 - 6:20 pm et

Updating a previous item, Profootballtalk.com reports Donte' Stallworth will work out for the Lions Wednesday.
The Lions presumably see Stallworth as an upgrade on Bryant Johnson as the No. 2 receiver. His 17 receptions for 170 yards in 11 games with the Browns two years ago suggest that may no longer be the case.

Las Vegas police cited a lack of evidence in closing the assault case against Steven Jackson brought on by allegations from his former girlfriend.
Detectives talked to all parties involved after Jackson was accused of beating his then-pregnant girlfriend, who is now the mother of his young son. With insufficient evidence, the investigation is complete and the case closed. Jackson, who had vigorously denied the accusations, is not expected to be punished by the league.

The Ravens worked out former Chiefs WR Jeff Webb last week.
The Ravens have a need at receiver, but Webb isn't the answer with iffy hands and a lack of both deep speed and after-the-catch ability.

 Quinn Sypniewski-TE- Ravens Feb. 9 - 5:28 pm et

Ravens TE Quinn Sypniewski has undergone a "relatively minor followup surgery" on his left knee.
Sypniewski shredded the knee in 2008 training camp and had a setback last offseason, necessitating a second surgery. This is his third procedure since the original injury. Once a dominant blocker, Sypniewski may never recover his old form.
 Jamaal Charles-RB- Chiefs Feb. 9 - 4:42 pm et

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt indicated that the team no longer has doubts about Jamaal Charles' ability to handle a full load of carries.
Clark believes Charles, similar in size to Chris Johnson, "plays like a big player." He also praised Charles' "heart" and his ability to "carry a load that we didn't expect he'd be able to carry." The Chiefs would be wise to seek a bigger back as their No. 2, but that says more about their backups. Charles should garner first-round fantasy consideration as the team's featured back.
 Julius Jones-RB- Seahawks Feb. 9 - 4:30 pm et

Offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates indicated that he's "excited" about Julius Jones and Justin Forsett in the Seahawks backfield.
Bates believes both backs fit the zone-blocking system well. He added that his days in Denver proved great running backs can be acquired in the late rounds of the draft. Clemson's C.J. Spilled is popularly "mocked" to Seattle with the No. 14 overall pick, but the team may be leery of drafting a back that high.
 Donte' Stallworth-WR- Browns Feb. 9 - 4:07 pm et

The agent for Donte' Stallworth indicated that his client will work out for an unnamed team on Wednesday.
The agent also expects Stallworth to sign with a team "in the next couple weeks at the latest," which is highly optimistic. Though Stallworth is willing to sign with any team showing interest, he's going to have to settle for a cheap, one-year deal.
 DeDe Dorsey-RB- Lions Feb. 9 - 3:11 pm et

Lions signed RB DeDe Dorsey.
The MVP of the UFL's inaugural championship game, Dorsey offers a similar package to change-of-pace back Aaron Brown. The Lions are expected to add a possible starter as well, so Dorsey may have to impress as a returner to nail down a roster spot behind Maurice Morris.
 Bruce Gradkowski-QB- Raiders Feb. 9 - 2:35 pm et

ESPN's AFC West blogger Bill Williamson believes the Raiders will re-sign restricted free agent Bruce Gradkowski and allow him to compete for the starting job.
There's no question the offense moved more smoothly and with more gusto under Gradkowski than JaMarcus Russell. Neither player is the solution at quarterback, however. The Raiders are setting the bar awfully low with Gradkowski's career completion percentage of 53.3 and yards per attempt average of 5.4.

Coach Mike Shanahan is interviewing Bill Romanowski for the Redskins strength and conditioning coach job.
Hopefully, Shanny is just rewarding a former player with a courtesy interview. It's hard to believe he would actually hire the controversial [former?] user of steroids and HGH, in addition to a wide variety of other supplements.
 Matt Forte-RB- Bears Feb. 9 - 1:29 pm et

According to beat writer Jeff Dickerson, the Bears want to add a running back with "a little juice" to pair with Matt Forte this year.
Forte can be somewhat forgiven for his disastrous 2009 season due to the hamstring and knee injuries in addition to an abysmal offensive line. He is lacking in big-play ability, however, so the Bears will explore upgrades on Kevin Jones and Kahlil Bell as a complement to their starter.
 Jarrad Page-DB- Chiefs Feb. 9 - 1:23 pm et

Saying his injured calf feels "great," Chiefs FS Jarrad Page has begun offseason workouts.
Page was placed on injured reserve in early November after severely pulling his calf muscle in practice. A disappointment even before the injury, Page has likely cost himself some money as a restricted free agent this offseason.

Steelers signed WR Brandon London and P Adam Graessle.
The Dolphins were intrigued by London's speed and athleticism last offseason, but the special teamer and potential deep threat didn't even make the team out of training camp. Still very raw as a receiver, he's a project for the Steelers.
 Donte' Stallworth-WR- Browns Feb. 9 - 11:45 am et

Beat writer Armando Salguero "seriously doubts" that the Dolphins are interested in free agent Donte' Stallworth.
We agree. Stallworth wouldn't be an upgrade over any of the Dolphins current mediocre wide receivers and Bill Parcells often avoids guys with off-field problems. Stallworth isn't going to get many bites on the open market.

 Reggie Bush-RB- Saints Feb. 9 - 11:34 am et

Add Sports Illustrated's Don Banks to the list of people that think Reggie Bush will be back with the Saints next season.
There's been a lot of talk about Bush being cut due to his $8M salary, but we highly doubt that will happen. ESPN's Adam Schefter and beat writer Mike Triplett have already said that coach Sean Payton values Bush too much and winning the Super Bowl can only add to the chances of him being back. Look for Bush to get his 10-15 touches per game next season in New Orleans.
