 Chester Taylor-RB- Vikings Feb. 3 - 9:58 am et

Beat writer Sean Jensen speculates that the Bears could show interest in impending unrestricted free agent Chester Taylor.
Taylor says he wants to go somewhere he can be a starter, but that's not going to happen at age 31. He'd be a nice fit in Mike Martz's system as an excellent pass protector and receiver out of the backfield. Still, with Matt Forte entrenched as the starter we'd expect Taylor to look for a spot where he can get more touches. The Vikings could also opt to retain Taylor by using a transition or franchise tag on him.

Vikings.com expects the team to make a serious run at re-signing impending free agent Chester Taylor.
Beat writer Mike Wobschall rightly suggests that Taylor has more value to Minnesota than most clubs. Wobschall goes so far as to say the Vikes may use a transition or franchise tag on Taylor. Taylor turns 31 before next season, so he wouldn't draw interest as a starting candidate elsewhere.

 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Jan. 26 - 8:57 pm et

Coach Brad Childress indicated that the Vikings will conduct an "in-depth study" of Adrian Peterson's fumbling issues to see if any mechanical changes can help.
Peterson, whose hands are notoriously strong, has reached the point where it almost has to be a mental issue as much as a mechanical one. Perhaps the Vikes can pick the brain of Tiki Barber, who was able to overcome his own serious fumbling problem as a veteran with the Giants.
 Chester Taylor-RB- Vikings Jan. 24 - 11:30 pm et

Chester Taylor ran six times for 28 yards and caught three passes for 18 yards in the Vikings' NFC Championship Game loss.
Taylor saw an uptick in touches when it appeared Adrian Peterson was briefly benched for fumbling, and had a big 14-yard run up the gut in the fourth quarter. Now headed for unrestricted free agency, Taylor may try to max out on what figures to be his last NFL contract. He turns 31 before next season, however, and won't draw interest from teams needing a featured back.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Jan. 24 - 11:23 pm et

Adrian Peterson ran for 122 yards and three touchdowns on 22 carries and caught two passes for 14 yards in the Vikings' season-ending NFC title game loss at the Superdome.
It was all or nothing for "All Day," who was credited with two fumbles but actually had three if you include a botched exchange with Brett Favre. A.P. was a game-breaker when he held onto the football and the Vikings' offensive line got push, hitting numerous big runs. Despite his take-no-prisoners running style, Peterson hasn't missed a game since his rookie year. His reduction in carries from 2008 to 2009, as well as increased usage in the passing game also bode well for his future fantasy value. He's right there with Chris Johnson for No. 1 overall pick status heading to the offseason.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Jan. 17 - 4:25 pm et

Adrian Peterson ran 26 times for 63 yards and caught a 19-yard pass in the Vikings' Divisional Round win over Dallas.
The Cowboys were No. 5 against the run and didn't allow a 100-yard rusher all year, so it's not overly surprising that Peterson was bottled up. Still, the Vikings' offensive line created no holes and A.P. continues to lack patience when waiting for them to open. He should find more room at New Orleans.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Jan. 7 - 10:47 pm et

Doubling his career-high in receptions, Adrian Peterson finished with 436 receiving yards in 2009 after posting just 125 yards last season.
The Vikes attempted 101 more passes with Brett Favre under center this season, which resulted in 49 fewer carries for Peterson. He more than made up for it with his improvement as a receiver, though PPR leaguers should note that the offense will shift back toward the run if/when Favre retires.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Jan. 4 - 12:49 pm et

After getting not touching the ball at all on the first two series and ending up with just nine carries in Week 17, Adrian Peterson said he didn't think he was being punished for his fumbling issues.
It's ridiculous to think the Vikings would limit Peterson's carries at all. Coach Brad Childress said it was simply part of the game plan to throw in order to set up the run and then Peterson wasn't needed with a 31-0 halftime lead. Peterson will get his normal 20+ touches when the Vikings host a divisional playoff game in two weeks.
 Chester Taylor-RB- Vikings Jan. 3 - 3:53 pm et

Chester Taylor rushed seven times for 12 yards and caught two passes for 17 yards in Week 17 against the Giants.
Taylor remained a big asset in the passing game as Adrian Peterson's backup, catching 44 balls for 389 yards, but got fewer than 100 carries for the first time since 2003 and averaged under 4.0 yards per rush for the first time since his rookie season.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Jan. 3 - 3:36 pm et

Adrian Peterson rushed nine times for 54 yards and one touchdown in Week 17 against the Giants.
Peterson played less than three quarters in the blowout win, finishing the season with 1,383 rushing yards and a league-leading 18 touchdowns. He also set a career-high with 43 catches after totaling 40 grabs in his first two seasons, racking up 1,819 yards from scrimmage despite being bottled up more often than usual thanks in large part to offensive line struggles.
 Chester Taylor-RB- Vikings Dec. 29 - 12:51 am et

Chester Taylor rushed for 29 yards on eight carries and caught two passes for 26 yards in Week 16.
Taylor saw a good amount of snaps early on but didn't do much in the second half. He is a simple handcuff to Adrian Peterson.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 29 - 12:48 am et

Adrian Peterson rushed for 94 yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries in Week 16.
A.P. also caught three passes for 43 yards, but he lost a crucial fumble in overtime to set up Devin Aromashodu's game-winning 39-yard touchdown catch. Peterson was slipping a lot during the game and it stopped him from getting around the corner a couple of times. He should have a great game next week against the hapless Giants.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 25 - 9:55 am et

Vikings offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell plans to emphasize the running game this week after establishing season lows in rushing attempts (14) and yards (41) last week.
The issue is also at the heart of the Brett Favre/Brad Childress clash, with Favre checking out of run plays in order to pass. Monday night's game is setting up nicely as a potential breakout performance for Adrian Peterson, after going a career-high five straight games without a 100-yard effort.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 20 - 11:42 pm et

Adrian Peterson rushed 12 times for 35 yards and a touchdown and caught three passes for 73 yards in Week 15 against the Panthers.
Peterson struggled to find holes from the start against Carolina's inspired defense and had to gain most of his yards on screens out of the backfield. He has an easier matchup next week against the Bears, but his ability to break free depends on Brett Favre and Co. making plays through the air. A.P. owners will hope the Vikes can get back on track next week in Chicago.
 Chester Taylor-RB- Vikings Dec. 13 - 4:44 pm et

Chester Taylor rushed five times for 25 yards and added two catches for 32 yards in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
Taylor set up Adrian Peterson's first touchdown with a 26-yard catch. He remains a simple handcuff to "All Day."
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 13 - 4:14 pm et

Adrian Peterson rushed 26 times for 97 yard with two touchdowns and added three catches for 40 yards in Sunday's win over the Bengals.
Both of Peterson's touchdowns came right at the goal line. The Vikings employed a run-heavy attack from the outset, but the Bengals were surprisingly tough in the middle. Peterson broke more tackles than he has of late, which is a great sign that he's getting stronger as the season goes on. Peterson has a dream matchup with the Panthers next week.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 11 - 2:59 pm et

Adrian Peterson (ankle) is listed as probable for week 14. He was "limited" in practice for a third straight day Friday.
Peterson is fully expected to start Sunday's game against the Bengals.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 10 - 2:38 pm et

Adrian Peterson (ankle) returned to a limited practice Thursday.
Peterson was never in danger of missing this week's game against Cincinnati. Despite his recent struggles, fantasy owners need to stay patient and stick with him in the fantasy playoffs. We have him ranked as the No. 4 fantasy RB this week.
 Adrian Peterson-RB- Vikings Dec. 9 - 4:39 pm et

Adrian Peterson (ankle) was held out of practice Wednesday.
Peterson's numbers are down over the last two weeks, but there's no indication that his ankle injury is the reason. His first step is as quick as ever. A.P. does need to be more patient when reading his blocks and exploding.
 Chester Taylor-RB- Vikings Dec. 7 - 12:27 am et

Chester Taylor rushed for 21 yards on five carries in Week 13.
Taylor added four catches for 28 yards as he continues to strictly be the team's third-down back. He is not a fantasy option anymore, yet alone an option next week against a tough Cincinnati defense.
