 Paul Pierce-G/F- CelticsFeb. 4 - 4:54 pm et
Paul Pierce (foot) is considered doubtful for Friday's game against the Nets.
Pierce said if it was a playoff game, he could go. But the Celts are playing the Nets at home and should have an easy win even without Pierce. It sounds like Pierce will be ready for Sunday's game against the Magic. In the meantime, Tony Allen will start and get a ton of minutes but remain a low-end fantasy option.

 Tony Allen-G/F - Celtics Feb. 4 - 12:09 am et

Tony Allen started in place of Paul Pierce and had six points, six rebounds and two steals in Wednesday's win.
He played 28 minutes and could continue to start through the All-Star break with Pierce's foot injury causing him serious problems right now. However, Marquis Daniels and Pierce will be back after the break (and possibly sooner), so Allen could be dropped if you have your eye on another free agent.
 Paul Pierce-G/F - Celtics Feb. 2 - 9:33 pm et

Paul Pierce has a mildly sprained foot and is listed as day-to-day, according to Yahoo! Sports.
Celtics' fans can breathe again and the sense of relief is palpable. Withdraw (or rethink) any emergency trade offers you may have made, and if you picked up Tony Allen or Marquis Daniels it's safe to cut them.

 Paul Pierce-G/F - Celtics Feb. 2 - 5:24 pm et

Paul Pierce may have a broken left foot, sources tell TNT's David Aldridge.
Pierce is undergoing additional testing as it's still not clear if his foot is broken. But, according to Aldridge's source, it "looks that way." Depending on the severity of the break, Pierce could miss just a couple weeks or possibly a lot longer. The Celtics are expected to make an announcement on Wednesday. We would add Tony Allen first and maybe stash Marquis Daniels while we wait.

 Tony Allen-G/F - Celtics Jan. 10 - 5:35 pm et

Celtics swingman Tony Allen returned on Sunday after missing one game with the flu.
He was scoreless in eight minutes off the bench, though he did have two assists and three steals. With Paul Pierce back in the lineup, Allen has no fantasy value.
 Tony Allen-G/F - Celtics Jan. 10 - 11:15 am et

Tony Allen is expected back Sunday after missing his last game with the flu.
He should get some decent minutes for the banged up Celtics today.
