Monta Ellis' MRI revealed a mild left knee sprain and his status for Thursday's game against the Clippers is unknown.
Owners can breathe a sigh of relief after watching Ellis writhe in pain while clutching his knee Tuesday night. Ellis will be re-evaluated on Thursday and the fact that the Warriors are even considering suiting him up is obviously a great sign. Consider him day-to-day for now and he'll test the knee in warm-ups tomorrow.

 Monta Ellis-G - Warriors Feb. 9 - 10:35 am et

Monta Ellis is optimistic that his knee injury, initially called a sprain, isn't serious. He will have an MRI on Tuesday.
"It was really scary, but it's just a little sore," said Ellis, who had the same knee surgically repaired in high school. "It's not as bad as it looked or as I made it seem." Test results should be announced later on Tuesday.

Monta Ellis has been diagnosed with a sprained right knee and will have an MRI on Tuesday.
The Warriors TV crew was "cautiously optimistic" based on the way he left the court, but we're holding our breath until the results are in. It might be wise to scoop up C.J. Watson, just in case he's out beyond the All-Star break.

Monta Ellis came down awkwardly on an off-balance shot and left Monday's game with an apparent left knee injury.
He was able to walk off the court, though he was in obvious pain. The injury occurred when he got hung up with teammate Andris Biedrins -- check back soon for an update on his status.
 Monta Ellis-G - Warriors Feb. 7 - 1:18 am et

Monta Ellis hit just 6-of-22 shots in Saturday's 104-95 loss to the Thunder, finishing with 15 points, two 3-pointers, three rebounds, six assists, two steals, and seven turnovers.
After 46 points on 17-of-23 shooting on Wednesday, it appears the law of averages caught up with him Saturday. The worry with him is that he's logging heavy minutes, and may have nothing to play for toward the end of the Warriors' lost season. Until that happens, expect him to dominate.
 Brandon Roy-G - Trail Blazers Feb. 6 - 7:52 pm et

Brandon Roy will miss the Trail Blazers' next three games, as well as the All-Star Game, because of his strained right hamstring.
Roy will also receive his second injection of Platelet-Rich-Plasma (PRP) on Monday in Seattle. The injection is supposed to stop bleeding in the injured area and promote healing and growth in the muscle tissue. Possible All-Star replacements include Monta Ellis, Carlos Boozer and Chris Kaman.
