The MRI taken on Michael Beasley's knee Sunday came back negative, and he could return as soon as Monday's game against the Bucks.
We'd like to hear something more definitive, but owners can feel fairly good about putting him in their lineup for the Heat's four-game week. If he can't play Monday for some reason, it sounds highly unlikely that he would miss Wednesday's game against the Celtics, but that's just speculation on our part.

Joel Anthony, and not Udonis Haslem, started in place of injured Michael Beasley (knee) in Friday's game against the Pistons.
Anthony, a defensive shot-blocking specialist for the most part, won't affect Haslem's time on the court. Chances are, coach Erik Spoelstra wanted to keep his second-unit in tact, so we wouldn't read too much into this.

Jermaine O'Neal missed Monday's game against Atlanta due to a right groin injury being classified as strain and hip flexor.
Joel Anthony starts in his place, but the Heat are hopeful that O'Neal will be available for Wednesday's game.

Joel Anthony had 8 points, 9 boards and 5 blocks on Wednesday, as Jermaine O'Neal lasted just three minutes before leaving with a groin injury.
If O'Neal misses much time with his groin injury, Anthony is certainly worth a quick look.

Jermaine O'Neal will miss Friday's game against the Mavericks to attend a funeral in South Carolina.
O'Neal is expected to rejoin the Heat at practice Saturday, and should be available for Sunday's game against the Grizzlies. Joel Anthony will start at C Friday in his place.
