Stephon Marbury has agreed to sign with the Shanxi Club of the Chinese Basketball Association.
The arrangement is mutually beneficial -- the two-time All-Star will boost Shanxi's ticket sales (and hopefully their record) while Marbury gets to promote his brand of shoes. This is the same team that signed Bonzi Wells last season, before Bonzi "went on holiday but failed to return on time." Best of luck, Stephon.

Stephon Marbury sat in the front row for the Knicks game on Saturday, but was asked to move when ushers discovered that he was sitting in the wrong seat.
Marbury was standing up and filming the game live during the first quarter, but when asked to move he left the arena rather than move back one row (to row 'A' instead of 'AA'). The weirdness continues.

Stephon Marbury said that although he plans to sit out this season, he wants to return to the NBA in 2010-2011.
Marbury had the gall to describe the Knicks as "a mess" before saying that he will attend their home opener with his children. "The coaching is horrible," he said. "New Yorkers deserve better decisions form the front office." This just confirms what we've known for some time -- the man has lost touch with reality.

Stephon Marbury said via Twitter on Tuesday that he would like to play for the Nets.
"Rod Thorn is my man," he wrote. "I want to play for the BROOKLYN NETS. I said it." OK, Steph. Good luck with that.

Stephon Marbury has retired from the NBA, according to the New York Daily News.
That's really all we know, although it would not be surprising to see him do an about face at some point, or to go play in Italy - which has been a dream of his for a couple years now.

Sam Amico of Pro Basketball News reports that the Wizards are keeping Stephon Marbury "on their radar."
That is ironic considering Wizards center Brendan Haywood bashed Marbury in a recent interview, describing one of Marbury's live-streaming internet appearances as "gay porn" and vowing that no GM would sign him. Marbury seems to be coming unglued (he eats Vaseline in one video clip) but if Michael Vick can find a team to sign him, why not the player formerly known as Starbury?
