If you're in a really deep league and need to play reserves, Anthony Carter will likely pick up Lawson's minutes if he doesn't go tonight.

Ty Lawson tested his ankle during shootaround but remains a game-time decision for Wednesday.
Much of Lawson's fantasy intrigue has dissipated with Chauncey Billups now healthy. Anthony Carter will be the first point guard off the bench if Lawson is unable to go.

Chauncey Billups, who returned from a groin injury on Christmas Day, was on the bench to start the second half and is done for the night.
He finished with 10 points and five assists, but reportedly did not aggravate his injury. Instead, the Nuggets are just being cautious with him, although he is probably a bit risky against the Mavs on Sunday. Anthony Carter, and not Ty Lawson, started in his place for the second half.

Anthony Carter played 33 minutes off the bench in Sunday's loss to the Grizzlies, and totaled eight points on 3-of-6 shooting (including two threes) with three rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and a block.
All signs pointed towards rookie Ty Lawson having more value in Chauncey Billups' (groin) absence, but in this game it was Carter. Billups is likely to return in the Nuggets' next game on Wednesday, so look at this line as a one-time deal.

Ty Lawson was held scoreless against the Grizzlies on Sunday, despite the absence of injured Chauncey Billups (groin).
Lawson was first in line for extra fantasy value with Billups out, but he failed to capitalize on the opportunity. Anthony Carter was that man today, scoring eight points with three rebounds, seven assists, four steals, and a block. Billups should be back Wednesday so Ty's window has passed.

Ty Lawson came off the bench for 14 points, two assists and two 3-pointers in Friday's loss to the Hornets, despite the absence of Chauncey Billups with a groin injury.
Anthony Carter got the start and had nine points and five dimes, but Lawson should be the more reliable play for as long as Billups, who could miss a couple more games, is out. Carmelo Anthony hit just 5-of-16 shots, or the Nuggets probably would have had a chance to win.
