 Speedy Claxton-G- WarriorsFeb. 6 - 3:56 pm et
The Warriors have waived Speedy Claxton (and his expiring $5.2 million contract) to make room for D-League call-up Anthony Tolliver.
With the trade deadline just 12 days away, and expiring contracts always valuable, beat writer Marcus Thompson calls this "[Larry Riley's] first unadulterated bad decision as a GM." It's unlikely Speedy will land with another team this season, but anything is possible.

 Speedy Claxton-G - Warriors Oct. 8 - 1:39 am et

Speedy Claxton had six points and four assists in 17 minutes on Wednesday.
Atlanta's throwaway point guards both played pretty well for Nellie tonight, but we don't expect it to last.
 Speedy Claxton-G - Warriors Jul. 25 - 9:52 am et

Warriors point guard Speedy Claxton has declared himself healthy and ready to play, which means insurance won't cover 80% of his $5.2 million contract.
This obviously has a detrimental financial impact for Golden State, which has five PGs under contract heading into next season. At best, Claxton will be their third point guard and he doesn't deserve notice in fantasy leagues.

 Jamal Crawford-G - Hawks Jun. 25 - 5:07 pm et

Jamal Crawford has now officially been traded to the Hawks for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton.
Crawford signed an agreement stating he won't opt out of the final two years of his contract. "I’m excited," Crawford said Thursday. "They’re a winning team. They went to the playoffs, the second round. It could be a really good fit for me." We agree, and it now looks like Mike Bibby probably won't be in a Hawks uniform next year.

 Speedy Claxton-G - Warriors Jun. 25 - 9:49 am et

The Warriors acquired Speedy Claxton in Wednesday's Jamal Crawford trade, though it's unlikely Claxton will ever play for Golden State.
Claxton has been plagued with serious injuries over the past few years, and his primary appeal for the Warriors is the fact that insurance payments will cover approximately 80% of his salary.

 Acie Law-G - Bobcats Jun. 25 - 9:46 am et

The Warriors acquired point guards Acie Law and Speedy Claxton in Wednesday's 2-for-1 trade.
Law is a capable backup PG, but the Warriors reportedly don't see him as a long-term solution. Given their revolving door at PG last season it's hard to be optimistic about Law's fantasy prospects in Golden State.
