Carmelo Anthony scored 19 points vs. the Mavericks on Tuesday, as the Nuggets celebrated his return from an ankle injury with their biggest victory of the season.
Denver led by 26 points at halftime, then cruised to a 36-point margin of victory. Melo made 8-of-16 FGs with three 3-pointers, four rebounds and six assists in 30 minutes -- clearly it's safe to get him back into all lineups.

Carmelo Anthony (ankle) says he is going to play on Tuesday.
We'll believe it when we see it, but all signs point toward Melo finally getting back in action tonight. He's listed as probable and even admitted that he's been out way too long with this mere sprained ankle. Playing in the next two games will allow Anthony to suit up for Sunday's All-Star game with a clear conscious.

Carmelo Anthony, who was quoted by the Nuggets' official Twitter page as saying he was "probable" for Tuesday's game against the Mavs, was non-committal about his availability when speaking with beat writer Benjamin Hochman.
"Hopefully I can get back out there [Tuesday]," Anthony said after Monday's practice. "It felt good out there today. It's getting better each day. Pretty much I was doing a lot that I could do before I got hurt." He also added that he would not play in the All Star game without returning to game action first, which presumably would motivate him to get back on the court, but either way owners need to proceed with caution.

Carmelo Anthony said on Monday that he's "probable" to play on Tuesday.
He's missed eight straight games with a sprained ankle, but it sounds like he's finally ready to go.

As expected, Carmelo Anthony (ankle) sat out again on Saturday.
He remains questionable for Tuesday's game, though it seems reasonable that Denver will rest their franchise player with the All-Star break looming. With any luck we'll have an update sometime on Sunday.
 Chauncey Billups-G - Nuggets Feb. 6 - 1:14 am et

Chauncey Billups hit a career-high 9-of-13 3-pointers and added a career best of 39 points in Friday's unlikely road win over the Lakers.
The Nuggets hit 15-of-22 3-pointers in this one and easily rolled to a win in Kobe's house. Billups had the game of his life, and added eight assists, four boards and a steal. He hit 12-of-20 shots on the night, but did tweak his left ankle injury during the contest. He had it iced on the bench and returned to the game, so we're assuming he's good to go for his next one - especially with Carmelo Anthony still lounging on the bench in a suit.
