 Brian Shouse-R - Rays Jul. 27 - 4:09 pm et

Rays activated LHP Brian Shouse from the 15-day disabled list.
Shouse had been sidelined since May due to a left elbow strain. He returns to a 3.77 ERA and 1.40 WHIP and should be of use this week against the lefty-heavy Red Sox and Yankees.

Rays reliever Brian Shouse (elbow) is slated to rejoin the team Monday.
Shouse is coming off back-to-back appearances in his rehab assignment, so he's ready to go. The addition, likely at the expense of Dale Thayer, will leave the Rays with three lefties in the bullpen -- just in time for the Red Sox and Yankees series.

Rays reliever Brian Shouse (elbow) tossed a 32-pitch bullpen session Friday and appears to be getting closer to a return.
Shouse is scheduled to throw a simulated game Monday in Port Charlotte and could start a minor-league rehab stint soon after. The Rays are looking for 2-4 more mound appearances and want to see him throw on consecutive nights.

Brian Shouse (left elbow strain) has been given permission to start playing catch.
He still has a way to go in his rehab, but at least it's a start. He was diagnosed with a slight tear of the left flexor muscle in late May.

 Brian Shouse-R - Rays May. 26 - 5:56 pm et

Brian Shouse has been diagnosed with a slight tear of the left flexor muscle.
He's expected to miss a significant amount of time, but the good news is that the injury isn't expected to require surgery. "Could have been worse," Shouse said. "Could have been a little better. But not worse case scenario."
