Scott Elbert has been added to the Dodgers' NLCS roster.
Hiroki Kuroda also made the cut while Jon Garland and Jeff Weaver have been left off. Elbert, who was inactive for the first round, will provide the Dodgers with another southpaw reliever. He held left-handed batters to a .222 batting average during the regular season.

Jeff Weaver was sent home from Wednesday's practice with flu-like symptoms.
He is the third Dodgers player this week to get sick. The Dodgers must be assuming Weaver can make a quick recovery -- he is on the NLCS roster over Jon Garland.

Dodgers placed RHP Hiroki Kuroda on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to August 15, with a concussion.
Jeff Weaver will take his spot in the rotation for now. Kuroda is eligible to return just before the rosters expand in September.

Jeff Weaver will start for the Dodgers Thursday in place of Hiroki Kuroda.
Kuroda is recovering from the aftereffects of Saturday's concussion. Manager Joe Torre said Weaver was picked because of his ability to match up against the Cubs' right-handed power hitters. With the way Weaver's season is going, he's a solid play.

Jeff Weaver pitched three scoreless innings in his spot start against the Giants on Wednesday.
Weaver was filling in for the injured Chad Billingsley. He was effective, but it took him 61 pitches to get nine outs. The Dodgers would have preferred to get an extra inning or two out of him.

Jeff Weaver will take the mound Wednesday in place of Chad Billingsley, who is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The team hopes Billingsley can make his next scheduled start Monday against the Cardinals. Weaver has a 3.47 ERA in five starts for the Dodgers this year, but fantasy owners should probably hold off on him for now.
