Rangers reassigned RHP Derrick Turnbow and C Emerson Frostad to minor league camp
Turnbow had a 6.75 ERA and a 13/9 K/BB ratio in 12 innings this spring. The Rangers will certainly give him an opportunity if he shows better command, but he should be forced to earn it.

Derrick Turnbow, who didn't pitch Monday because of a sore knee, gave up three runs in his inning against the Giants on Tuesday.
This should finish him as a contender for a spot in the pen. He's allowed nine runs in 10 innings.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the Rangers have communicated to Derrick Turnbow that he is unlikely to make the Opening Day roster.
Turnbow can ask for his release Tuesday, but might be better off heading to Triple-A. He has a 6.00 ERA in nine innings this spring and recently suffered a minor knee injury.

According to MLB.com's T.R Sullivan, Rangers manager Ron Washington "really wants Derrick Turnbow to make this bullpen."
Turnbow, a non-roster invite to camp, has posted a 3.38 ERA in eight innings this spring. His 8/6 K/BB ratio is troubling, but he might be a better option than most of the other Rangers relievers. He'll get a hard look over the next few days.
