 Ervin Santana-S - Angels Sep. 29 - 1:05 am et

Ervin Santana hurled a complete-game shutout as the Angels clinched the AL West crown in a lopsided 11-0 victory on Monday night.
The Halos wasted no time making their playoff berth official. Santana uncharacteristically struck out only two hitters but was dominant nonetheless, allowing only seven hits and a walk while shutting the Rangers out on 112 pitches. It was Santana's first win since August 22, though he'd been pitching fairly well since then. He figures to get one last regular-season turn against the A's this weekend.

Ervin Santana yielded three runs over seven innings against the Red Sox on Thursday night, but took a no-decision in an eventual 4-3 win.
He held the Red Sox to just four hits, but three of them, including home runs by Jason Bay and Jacoby Ellsbury, accounted for all three runs in the fourth inning. Santana struck out six in the no-decision. He has a 3.08 ERA over his last nine starts. He'll toe the rubber against the Yankees next.
 Ervin Santana-S - Angels Sep. 7 - 5:28 pm et

Ervin Santana surrendered five runs -- four earned -- and nine hits in 5 2/3 innings Monday in a loss to the Royals.
That's like giving up 10 runs to a major league team. Santana's streak of five straight quality starts came to an end. It's worth noting that he's faced a pretty easy schedule during his current roll. The Angels can't yet be too confident about the idea of starting him in postseason games.

Ervin Santana spun six innings of one-run ball against the Mariners on Tuesday night, but took a no-decision in a 2-1 loss.
After going 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA, 1.33 WHIP over five starts in August, Santana looks to have finally found his footing. He limited the Mariners to just five hits on Tuesday, with the lone run scoring on a Mike Sweeney single in the first inning. Santana struck out two and walked one in the no-decision. He has five consecutive quality starts to his credit. Go ahead and try him against the Royals next time out.
 Ervin Santana-S - Angels Aug. 28 - 1:21 am et

Ervin Santana allowed two runs over six innings in a losing effort against the Athletics on Thursday night.
Santana couldn't quite match Trevor Cahill's outstanding performance, but pitched well nevertheless, working around eight hits and two walks to suppress the A's offense while striking out six. Santana has been nothing but solid since spinning a complete-game shutout against Tampa earlier this month.
