Ervin Santana spun six innings of one-run ball against the Mariners on Tuesday night, but took a no-decision in a 2-1 loss.
After going 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA, 1.33 WHIP over five starts in August, Santana looks to have finally found his footing. He limited the Mariners to just five hits on Tuesday, with the lone run scoring on a Mike Sweeney single in the first inning. Santana struck out two and walked one in the no-decision. He has five consecutive quality starts to his credit. Go ahead and try him against the Royals next time out.
