Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports expects an agreement between Kevin Correia and San Diego.
Correia had a fantastic year, going 12-11 with a 3.91 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 198 innings. His salary is due to jump to the $3-4 million range, but the San Diego native wants to stay with the club. Just a year away from free agency, a one-year deal is the likely bet.

Kevin Correia gave up five runs -- three earned -- over six-plus innings in a 7-2 loss to the Giants on Friday night.
Correia held the Giants to just one run over the first six innings, but unraveled in the seventh before being relieved by Ryan Webb. One of the more unheralded success stories in the majors this season, Correia finishes with a 12-11 record to go along with a 3.91 ERA and 1.30 WHIP. He deserves a sizable raise during the off-season, so it wouldn't be shocking if the Padres let him walk.

Kevin Correia spun a complete-game shutout in a 4-0 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday night.
Friday marked his first career complete game and shutout. He struck out seven in the win. Proving himself to be one of the better under-the-radar pickups, Correia is now 12-10 with a 3.89 ERA over 32 starts this season. He's 3-0 with a paltry 1.25 ERA over five starts in September.

Kevin Correia tossed seven shutout innings to beat the Pirates on Sunday.
Correia didn't walk a batter and struck out five while yielding six hits. Now 11-10 with a 4.08 ERA and 1.33 WHIP on the season, Correia has assured himself a spot in next year's rotation with a 2.82 ERA in 10 starts since the beginning of August. He'll get the Diamondbacks and then the Dodgers to finish out the season.

Kevin Correia evened his record at 10-10 by shutting out the Nationals for 7 2/3 innings in Wednesday's victory.
Against a lineup that had Alberto Gonzalez hitting second and Pete Orr batting fifth. Orr isn't even good enough to bat fifth for a decent Triple-A team. Correia has helped the Padres a bunch by eating up 163 2/3 innings and posting a 4.29 ERA this year. It's understandable that no contenders wanted to give up much for him prior to the trade deadline, but things probably worked out for the best anyway.

Kevin Correia allowed five earned runs and 10 hits Saturday in 5 2/3 innings of work against the Cardinals.
The Padres lost 7-0. Correia has been one of the few bright spots in San Diego these past few years, but couldn't handle the revamped Cardinals lineup. He fell to 8-10 and now has a 4.46 ERA and 1.36 WHIP on the season.
