Doug Davis was charged with three runs over 7 2/3 innings against the Giants on Wednesday night, but suffered a no-decision in an eventual 4-3 loss.
Davis held the Giants to just three hits over the first seven innings, but it all unraveled for him in the eighth, as he left the game after 98 pitches with two runners on. A.J. Hinch called on Chad Qualls to get out of the jam, but he served up a go-ahead three-run homer to Bengie Molina to deny Davis the win. All told, Davis yielded just four hits against four walks and five strikeouts. He carries a 3.75 ERA into his next start against the Dodgers.
