Padraig Harrington carded a 1-over-par 37-35=72 in his opening round of the Northern Trust Open.
Making his 2010 debut, Harrington hit eight (of 14) fairways but just six GIR at Riviera. He did not carry the Ping Eye2 wedge after hinting that he might. Golf Channel reported that just two in the field of 132 put the loophole club in their bags today - Fred Couples and Hunter Mahan. Phil Mickelson, Dean Wilson, John Daly and Brad Adamonis are the only other guys that have reportedly wielded the stick at some point this season.

Padraig Harrington posted a second round of 1-under-par 69 and is a stroke off the lead held by Tiger Woods.
Harrington and Woods were tied a couple of times on the front and back nines, but a bogey by Harrington at the 14th hole and a birdie by Woods at the 15th hole gave Tiger a two-stroke lead. It looked Woods might start to run away from the rest of the field, but a bogey at the final hole by Woods cut his lead to a single stroke. Harrington played with Woods in the first two rounds and on Saturday he will again get to play with the world's number one player.

Padraig Harrington is ranked number six going into the FedExCup Finals at THE TOUR Championship.
The 2009 season was a total disaster for Harrington as he was working on swing changes, until midway through the British Open when things began to click. A T-2 at the WGC-Bridgestone got him into the Playoffs and he has continued to played well in the Playoffs, with a T-2 at The Barclays, a T-10 at the Deutsche Bank and a T-6 at the BMW. His only problem during his resent hot streak is that he has had one hole during a event where he had a double-bogey or worse. Considering how well he is playing right now, it wouldn't be surprising to see him win THE TOUR Championship.

Padraig Harrington has posted a pair of 68s to open the BMW Championship.
Harrington has hit just 11 (of 28) fairways but has carded only one bogey or worse, and that was at the 36th hole (#18 at Cog Hill) after he piped a drive near a tractor out of bounds. Afterwards, he told Golf Channel that he's hit good golf shots when he's needed to, which suggests that he's also left some opportunities to go even lower on the course. Harrington finished one stroke off Mark Wilson's 36-hole lead.

Padraig Harrington carded a final round of 4-under-par 67 and finished in a four-way tie for second place at The Barclays.
Harrington was even-par for the round going into the 12th hole, but he ran off three consecutive birdies and then birdied the final hole to join Tiger Woods and Ernie Els at 8-under-par for the tournament. It looked like there might be a playoff with some of the world's elite players, but a 21-foot par-putt by Heath Slocum at the final hole won the championship. Harrington is scheduled to play at next week's Deutsche Bank Championship, where he has missed the cut the last two years.

Padraig Harrington carded a third round of 3-under-par 69 and is two-strokes off the lead at the PGA Championship.
On the front nine, Harrington was able to move within two-shots of the lead by carding back-to-back birdies starting at the 7th hole. The back nine saw Harrington tie for the lead after an 8-foot birdie at the 14th hole, but he fell two-strokes behind when he bogeyed the final hole for the second consecutive day. Harrington was going to be in the final group with Tiger Woods before the bogey at 18, but now Y.E. Yang will be the playing partner for Woods. On Sunday, Harrington will be looking for his fourth career major title and his second consecutive PGA Championship
