KUSports.com reports Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe is expected to declare for the NFL Draft during a press conference on Friday.
The junior has had a great career in Lawrence, though some off-field issues and the uncertainty surrounding the coaching situation make this an expected announcement.

Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe pulled in 14 receptions for 242 yards and two touchdowns and lost two costly fumbles in Saturday's 41-39 loss to Kansas.
This marks Briscoe's seventh 100-yard game of the season and third 200-yard game of the junior's career. There is speculation Briscoe might leave Kansas for the NFL after the season, so this could end up as his final game as a Jayhawk.

“I’m focusing on Missouri right now,” Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe said regarding the NFL Draft. “That’s after-the-season-type-stuff.”
Briscoe, a junior, is expected to gather information regarding his draft status after the season and decide whether to leave early or return for one more year. It is highly probable that Briscoe is playing his last game as a Jayhawk. Kansas has to beat Missouri in the Border War on Saturday to become bowl eligible.

The Topeka Capital-Journal reports that Kansas junior wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe didn't get all misty-eyed on Saturday while thinking that he may have played his last game in his home stadium.
Briscoe has had some off-field issues, and these could inspire him to return to the program in order to remove any possible doubts about his character, or make him feel that a change of scenery would do him some good.

Kansas wide receivers Dezmon Briscoe and Kerry Meier both posted big games in Saturday's close loss to Colorado. Briscoe ended the day with eight receptions for 154 yards and a touchdown. Meier added 103 yards and a score on 11 catches.
The Jayhawks had a chance at a come-from-behind win at the end of regulation, but quarterback Todd Reesing's last minute attempts to both Meier and Briscoe were batted down to end the game.

Kansas coach Mark Mangino is still gathering information about the two on campus fights between football and basketball players, but says there will be no suspensions right now. "But based on what I have right now, I don’t see anything that would have me discipline any particular player," Mangino said.
Things could change quickly if more information is released, but right now it doesn't look like any suspensions will be handed down.

Members of the Kansas football team and basketball team were involved in an on-campus scuffle Tuesday night. Most notably, wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe was allegedly involved.
Details are sketchy, but at least one basketball player was sent to the hospital with a thumb injury. Kansas athletic director Lew Perkins says they are gathering information on the incident and will handle any disciplinary actions internally.

Kansas coach Mark Mangino said that wide receiver Raimond Pendleton is one player suspended for the opener who will also miss the UTEP game this weekend. Because Dezmon Briscoe was suspended at a different time than Pendleton, he may still be held out.
Briscoe's suspension was the carry-over from spring, while Pendleton's dealt with a violation of team rules. We'll wait for more news from the Kansas coach before making any type of educated guess on Briscoe.

According to a report by Covers.com, a site dedicated to college player injuries and suspensions, Kansas WR Dezmon Briscoe will also miss next week's matchup versus UTEP.
This certainly is alarming news for Briscoe owners, who no doubt drafted him with an early round pick. We'll have more updates on Briscoe as we receive them.

KUSports.com quotes Kansas offensive coordinator Ed Warinner speaking very highly of junior Johnathan Wilson, citing his work ethic and ability to make plays opposite Dezmon Briscoe and Kerry Meier.
Are there enough footballs to go around in order to make Wilson a national fantasy factor? Surrounded by such talent it's hard to see Wilson making a huge splash, but he's a definite WR2 or WR3 in Big Twelve leagues.

Kansas coach Mark Mangino told Dugan Arnett of KUSports.com that star wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe will likely return kicks this season.
Depending on your league this can be good or bad news. Mangino emphasized the desire to keep Briscoe "healthy", though one way to get unhealthy is to return kicks. Chicken and egg my friends.

While he was suspended from the team this spring for academic struggles, Kansas star wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe realized how much he missed football, and he appears content on doing things the right way from here on out.
Briscoe is a top fantasy wide receiver, and there's a very good chance he'll be making some nice coin on Sundays.

The Kansas City Star spoke with the mother of Kansas star wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe, and mom said her pride and joy will be on the practice field with the team today.
Apparently Briscoe has taken care of business in the classroom, the pivotal step in removing himself from coach Mark Mangino's doghouse. And this is very good news for Kansas and Briscoe's fantasy owners.

TulsaWorld.com is reporting that the questions surrounding Dezmon Briscoe's playing status for 2009 center around academics, though coach Mark Mangino says he doesn't "anticipate any issues."
If Briscoe were to miss a significant amount of time it would have a detrimental impact on the likes of Todd Reesing, Kerry Meier and even Jake Sharp. And it wouldn't help Briscoe or his fantasy owners much either.

Kansas wide receiver Dezmon Briscoe has been named to the preseason All-Big-12 team. Â
Briscoe, who had 92 catches for 1,407 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2008, just needs to stay out of coach Mark Mangino's doghouse and we should see a repeat performance.
