Steve Marino starts the week as the 25th ranked player in the elite field of 30 in the FedExCup Finals.
Marino has finished in the Top 10 four times this season, but the closest he came to his maiden win was at Colonial, where he lost in a playoff with Steve Stricker. He has played well in the Playoffs with a T-15 at The Barclays, a T-27 at the Deutsche Bank Championship and a T-18 in the BMW Championship. This will be his first time playing in THE TOUR Championship.

Steve Marino followed his opening-round 66 with a 6-over-par 37-40=77 in the second round of the BMW Championship.
Marino hit just nine GIR and still needed a whopping 31 putts to finish today. He drained three birdies but offset those with five bogeys and two doubles. After sleeping on the overnight co-lead, Marino finished eight shots off the 36-hole clubhouse lead. So much for that consistency that he's had the last few weeks.

Steve Marino posted a third round of 3-under-par 68 and shares the third round lead with Paul Goydos at The Barclays.
Marino started the day in a tie for second place, and after a slow start on the front nine, he was able to tie for the lead when he ran off three consecutive birdies starting at the 14th hole. He did have a chance for the sole lead at the final hole, but Marino couldn't sink the 10-foot birdie opportunity. On Sunday, Marino will be looking for his first career championship on the PGA Tour

Marino snuck into the PGA by virtue of his position in the world ranking (80th). He played 45 holes of the Canandian Open before a back injury forced him to withdraw. If he is able, he'd be making his second career appearance in the major. He took this week off.

Marino hit just six GIR today, but he holed out twice from off the green and had 10 one-putts (22 total), draining an eagle and four birdies at Turnberry. Steve Marino posted a final round of 2-under-par 68 and finished tied for second place after the second hole of a playoff at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
Marino carded his third birdie of the day at the 6th hole to gain a share of the lead, but then he proceeded to par the remaining 12 holes. Luckily, he found himself in a playoff after his playing partner, Tim Clark, bogeyed the final hole. It looked like Marino and Steve Stricker were going to lose the playoff on the first hole, but they were saved when Tim Clark missed his 7-foot birdie-putt for the championship. Marino had a poor tee shot on the second playoff hole that cost him a stroke and Steve Stricker ended the playoff with a four-foot birdie. The P-2 finish is a career best for Marino and he currently scheduled to play in next week's Memorial Tournament.

Steve Marino carded a third round of 8-under-par 62 and is two-strokes off the lead at the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial.
The winds were mild and the greens were receptive as a number of players went low on Saturday. Marino put three birdies on the card in the opening nine and on the back nine he posted five more birdies to put himself into a tie for second place with Steve Sticker and Jason Day. The tournament record is 19-under-par, and with Tim Clark two-strokes away from that mark, there is a very good chance that there a new record will be set on Sunday.

After opening the back nine with a bogey, he was able to put three more birdies on the card to get within a stroke of the lead, but a poor tee shot at the 18th eventually cost him a stroke, which dropped him back to 10-under-par for the tournament. The Zurich Classic has a reputation for first time winners and Marino will looking on Sunday for his first championship on the PGA Tour.

Steve Marino carded a final round of 1-under-par 71 and finished in a tie for third place at the Children's Miracle Network Classic presented by Wal-Mart.
Marino started the day tie with Scott Verplank for the lead, but his first bogey of the week at the second hole dropped him out of the lead and he never was able to regain his form from the previous three rounds. The tie for third place moved him up to 34th place on this season's Money List, which was just short of his goal of the Top 30.

Steve Marino carded a bogey-free, 7-under-par 65 in the opening round of the Children's Miracle Network Classic.
In ideal scoring conditions, Marino hit all 14 fairways and missed just one GIR at Disney's Palm Course today. He took 30 putts, seven of which dropped for birdies. Marino leads the PGA Tour in birdies made, which sets up wonderfully for him this weekend as the weather will accommodate.
