Seahawks SLB Aaron Curry (stinger, hip pointer) is considered doubtful to play against the Titans in Week 17.
Chris Johnson is going to go nuts on the Seahawks this week and Curry's inconsistent rookie season is likely over. The No. 4 overall pick started the season on fire but hit a wall, was removed from the nickel package and dealt with late-season injuries. He'll likely improve on his 61 tackles next year.

Seahawks SLB Aaron Curry (stinger) is considered doubtful to play against the Packers in Week 16.
Curry lost strength in his left arm after suffering the injury last week, affecting his ability to shed blocks. Will Herring and D.D. Lewis are candidates to fill in, which is cause for a slight upgrade to the Packers fantasy players.

Aaron Curry's arm injury is being called a "shoulder stinger."
Curry left the game in the third quarter but later returned. It was probably a bad idea as he had no strength in his right arm. Curry's status for Week 16 is unknown.

Aaron Curry left Sunday's game in the third quarter with an apparent arm injury.
Curry was carted off the field last week with a hip pointer and the rookie appeared to injure his left arm or shoulder this time.

Seahawks SLB Aaron Curry (hip) is expected to play this Sunday.
Curry suffered a hip pointer in last week's loss to the Texans after teammate David Hawthorne came in and landed his helmet right on Curry's right hip. Despite barely being able to walk and dress himself earlier in the week, it looks as if Curry will be able to go against the lowly Bucs.

The initial diagnosis for Aaron Curry's lower back injury is a hip pointer.
X-rays showed no fracture. Curry appears to have escaped serious injury after being carted off late in Sunday's blowout at Houston. Expect him to still miss at least one game and possibly more.

Seahawks SLB Aaron Curry was carted off an apparent rib or kidney injury late in Sunday's game against the Texans.
Curry took a blow to the lower back from teammate David Hawthorne. He stayed down for several minutes and had to be lifted onto the cart. He's done for the day and could be out for multiple weeks.

Rookie SLB Aaron Curry has been removed from the Seahawks' nickel package.
Now only a mere early-down linebacker, Curry is barely averaging five tackles a game. The No. 4 overall pick hasn't been nearly as effective as No. 15 overall pick Brian Cushing for the Texans. Seahawks GM Tim Ruskell should be kicking himself for drafting Curry over Eugene Monroe in April.

Seahawks rookie Aaron Curry will start at outside linebacker.
No surprise as the No. 4 overall pick in the draft was expected to be the starter on the strong side ever since he signed. The Seahawks cut versatile veteran linebacker D.D. Lewis in part because they're confident Curry is ready to go.

Rookie OLB Aaron Curry had a sack, a forced fumble and four tackles in one half of action Thursday night.
The No. 4 overall pick was impressive, even if it came mostly against second-stringers. He did come totally free on the sack so that won't help quiet the people that doubt his pass-rushing skills.

Seahawks coach Jim Mora said rookie Aaron Curry will see action at right defensive end in Saturday's game.
Mora wants Curry to experiment at end, so they can get a better idea of how he will fare as a pass rusher. The rookie is expected to play three quarters, with most of the time coming at outside linebacker -- his true position.

Seahawks signed rookie OLB Aaron Curry, the No. 4 overall pick in the draft, to a six-year, $60 million contract, including $34 million in guarantees.
The process was undoubtedly sped up by Tyson Jackson, the No. 3 overall pick, signing with the Chiefs Thursday. Curry was already on the field for the team's afternoon practice Saturday. He will start at strong-side linebacker immediately. Curry won't lead the team in tackles, but he'll get to rush the passer and help in tight ends coverage. He'll be overvalued by some IDPers.

Seahawks first-round OLB Aaron Curry has taken some practice reps at defensive end due to his pass rushing ability at minicamp.
Doubts about Curry's ability to pressure the passer dropped him to No. 4 overall in the draft, but the Seahawks have been "pleasantly surprised" by his blitzing skills this spring. Still, Seattle has a glut at defensive end and is unlikely to replace Darryl Tapp, Patrick Kerney, Cory Redding, or Lawrence Jackson often with a rookie linebacker.

Seahawks selected Wake Forest OLB Aaron Curry with the No. 4 overall pick in the NFL Draft.
They went with an instant difference maker over a QB of the future. Curry will likely play the strong side, keeping LeRoy Hill at WLB. The 2008 Butkus Award winner, Curry possesses rare (4.5) speed for his size and should have no trouble covering TEs or sifting through traffic at SAM. He will pose a threat to MLB Lofa Tatupu's tackle count. Jim Mora will use Curry like he did Michael Boley in Atlanta, as a dynamic edge player with lots of blitz chances.

SI's Peter King believes the Chiefs' pick is coming down to Wake Forest LB Aaron Curry or LSU DE Tyson Jackson.
That's if they don't succeed in trading out of No. 3. It's hard to believe the Chiefs would let Curry slip past them, but they'll have to be convinced he can rush the passer to take him over Jackson.

Wake Forest LB Aaron Curry believes the Lions will sign Georgia QB Matthew Stafford and select him No. 1 overall on Saturday.
"In my heart, I think (the Lions) are going to get it done with Stafford," Curry said. "They're really making their decision on a need basis. Quarterback for them is a more important need. I understand that." Curry called Kansas City the "perfect scenario" for him.

The Lions are not "bluffing" on their tentative contract agreement to make Aaron Curry the No. 1 overall pick, according to MLive.com.
"You only bluff when you don't have a hand to play," a source said. "(Matthew Stafford's agent Tom) Condon is doing his job by looking at all the options." The Lions are not expected to come down from their standing offer to Stafford.

Charley Casserly indicated on the NFL Network's Path to the Draft program that he considers Aaron Curry unlikely to be a top-five pick.
Casserly performed two recent mock drafts and couldn't find a place for Curry before the Broncos at No. 12. Mike Lombardi, on set with Casserly, agreed that Curry's lack of blitzing experience makes him less valuable. He'll be a SAM linebacker in 4-3 defenses and an inside 'backer in a 3-4.

Beat writer Tom Kowalski reports that the Lions have a contract in place that would make Aaron Curry the No. 1 overall pick, and are in wait-and-see mode in negotiations with Matthew Stafford.
The Lions prefer Stafford, but are using Curry's deal (which is certainly smaller) as leverage in contract talks. GM Martin Mayhew reportedly won't let negotiations last past Friday. If no deal is reached by then, Curry will be the No. 1 pick. A source tells Kowalski that Stafford's agent will likely agree to a deal, but expects the process to last right up until the deadline.

Yahoo Sports disputes an NFL.com report that Jason Smith is the Lions' fallback plan if they can't bring Matthew Stafford under contract.
Yahoo's Jason Cole says Detroit is "believed" to have narrowed its choices to Stafford and Aaron Curry, who says he'd take significantly less money to be the No. 1 pick. Cole, however, calls Curry's stance a "clear indication" that Stafford is the Lions' preferred player. "(Curry) is doing whatever he can," said an NFLPA source. "If he felt that he was their top choice, his agents would never allow him to say something like that."
