Ravens coach John Harbaugh predicts that Michael Oher with remain at right tackle, with Jared Gaither staying on Joe Flacco's blindside.
They may revisit the situation in the future. Oher's athleticism and quick feet make him an ideal candidate to deal with top pass rushers while Gaither's mammoth size would play well on the run-blocking right side.

Ravens beat writer Mike Preston says first-round right tackle Michael Oher "has some of the quickest feet I've ever seen."
Keep in mind that Preston is an offensive line aficionado. He goes so far as to suggest that Oher could slide to left tackle should LT Jared Gaither struggle as he did in Week 1. Baltimore frequently ran to Oher's side against the Chiefs, and Preston says "the young lad kicked some serious hind parts."

As expected, rookie Michael Oher was immediately installed as the starting right tackle at Ravens training camp.
Usually rookies have to "earn" these jobs, especially when there are experienced alternatives on the team like Adam Terry. But Oher proved he's ready by pancaking Terrell Suggs on day one. Knocked by draftniks for being too reserved, Oher has shown an "aggressive and physical temperament."

Ravens signed rookie OT Michael Oher, the No. 23 overall pick, to a five-year contract with a max value of $13.795 million and $7.8M guaranteed.
Baltimore is the third club to get its entire draft class signed (the Jets and Steelers were first and second, respectively). Oher, whose Ole Miss Rebels were the only team to beat the national champion Florida Gators last year, will begin his NFL career at right tackle. He needs to polish his run blocking, but projects to be an immediate pass protection upgrade over Willie Anderson.

The Ravens have begun preliminary contract discussions with first-round pick Michael Oher.
Oher, the 23rd overall pick, is looking at a deal similar to last year's No. 23 choice, Rashard Mendenhall. Mendenhall got about $12.6 million over five years. Don't look for Oher to sign until late this month, at the earliest.

Ravens first-round RT Michael Oher has reportedly looked "strong, athletic and surprisingly polished" during minicamp action.
Oher has received plenty of practice time with Adam Terry and Oniel Cousins injured and Willie Anderson recently retired. The rookie already has most of the playbook down and is the favorite to replace Anderson at right tackle in Week 1.

Ravens first round pick OT Michael Oher practiced at right tackle with the first-team offense on day one of minicamp
The much discussed rookie reportedly was solid in his first run against the Ravens defense and he received plenty of reps with veterans Adam Terry and Willie Anderson out with knee injuries. Oher has a shot to start the season if Anderson's lingering injuries continue.

Ravens traded up with New England to select Ole Miss OT Michael Oher with the No. 23 overall pick. The Patriots received the No. 26 choice and the Ravens' fifth-round selection (No. 162).
It's shocking that so many teams -- including the Patriots -- passed on Oher. His passive off-field demeanor and some pass-pro inconsistencies as a senior seemingly worked against him. GM Ozzie Newsome, though, recognized value and will likely put Oher at right tackle to push Adam Terry and Willie Anderson. Oher has to improve his strength to win the job.

SI's Peter King believes Ole Miss OT Michael Oher is one of four players that teams want to trade up for in the draft.
The other three are USC QB Mark Sanchez, LSU DE Tyson Jackson, and Oklahoma State TE Brandon Pettigrew. Oher could be the last elite left tackle available, which will leave him in high demand around picks 10-20.

Three teams drafting in the top-ten picks tell the National Football Post that Ole Miss OT Michael Oher will not fall past the 49ers at No. 10.
The 49ers reportedly "love" Oher and Mike Lombardi says he may go as high as Oakland at No. 7. The Packers would certainly give Oher a look at No. 9.

Ole Miss OT Michael Oher was reportedly "very quiet...and seemed a little bit defensive and or sullen" during his interview with the Seahawks at February's Scouting Combine.
Oher has a passive off-field rep (which really shouldn't matter) and did nothing to dispel that in the meeting. He's still drawn as much interest at Pro Day and during rookie visits as any prospect and figures to go in the top 15.

Scouts from all 32 teams were reportedly at the Ole Miss Pro Day last week to see Michael Oher work out.
One report had over 65 people in attendance. While Oher could be drafted anywhere from second overall to 16th and Ole Miss DT Peria Jerry was another likely first-round pick working out, it's pretty rare that every single NFL team sends a rep to a Pro Day. In other Oher news, Sandra Bullock will play his foster mother in a movie version of The Blind Side.

Ole Miss OT Michael Oher improved on his 5.32 forty-yard dash time from the Combine, running a 5.24 and 5.16 at his Pro Day on Thursday.
He recorded a 31-inch vertical jump and increased his bench press lifts to 23. Oher also impressed onlookers with his excellent footwork during position drills. He shouldn't make it past the 49ers at No. 10 on draft day.

49ers beat reporter Matt Maiocco bets that the team will target an offensive tackle with its first-round pick.
Eugene Monroe and Jason Smith will likely be gone by No. 10, but the Niners could target Michael Oher or Andre Smith. Those covering the 49ers don't seem to believe that Smith will be red flagged too badly by the team.

Ole Miss OT Michael Oher did 21 reps of 225 pounds in the Combine bench press drill.
This would appear low (it's fewer reps than Eugene Monroe, Jason Smith, Eben Britton, or William Beatty did), but Vanderbilt's Chris Williams did the same number last year and still went in the first round despite back problems. Oher's stock is moving up with Andre Smith moving down.

Mississippi OT Michael Oher revealed Thursday that he's never read The Blind Side, the book that noted Moneyball author Michael Lewis wrote largely about Oher.
The book examined Oher's early life and recruiting process as well as the evolution of the left tackle position into one of the NFL's most valued commodities. Fans of Lewis should check out his most recent article on the NBA's Shane Battier, "The No-Stats All-Star."

Redskins beat writer Jason La Canfora guesses that the club will use its first-round draft pick on an offensive tackle.
The Skins pick 13th in April. They've pegged Chad Rinehart at guard, can no longer afford to rely on Jon Jansen at RT, and LT Chris Samuels is coming off two surgeries. Michael Oher (Ole Miss), Andre Smith (Alabama), Jason Smith (Baylor), and Eugene Monroe (Virginia) should be on the team's radar.
