Welcome to Playing the Tips!

Each week this will be the one-stop resource to soak in all the picks from our group of fantasy staffers from Rotoworld.com. We’ll have all of our selections from the GolfChannel.com, Yahoo! Fantasy Golf plus my new expanded feature on my weekly selection for One-and-Done players.

Travelers Championship

Glass ($14,472,135; Rank: 814)

@MikeGlasscott

A famous man once wrote, “Then you better start swimmin’ or you’ll sink like a stone,” and I was doing more of the latter instead of the former. I had no problem loading up with S.S. Mickelson last week as I knew the risk could have been as big as the reward. Thankfully spectacular Sundays, 67 from Jim Furyk (T12) and a very tournament from Billy Horschel (T23), saved my bacon and put over a quarter million in the bank this week. I’m guessing not many folks had Erik Compton, Rickie Fowler, Brooks Koepka or Brandt Snedeker in the lineup last week so disaster was avoided.

Group 1: Bubba Watson

Group 2: Brooks Koepka

Group 3: Andrew Svoboda

Group 4: Bud Cauley

ANALYSIS:  Bubba Watson is the clear favorite this week as he tears the course to shreds. I’m loading up on non-winners as I try to outfox my competitors and stay with in the top 1,000. Hey, you gotta have goals! Koepka is poised for another huge week and Svoboda and Cauley are trending in the right direction. #crossesfingers. I’m trying to avoid my three competitors so I’m zagging with the youth this week.

Rob Bolton ($11,811,777; Rank: 6,048)

@RobBoltonGolf

Group 1: Bubba Watson

Group 2: Charley Hoffman

Group 3: James Hahn

Group 4: Patrick Rodgers

ANALYSIS: For those of you who follow the chat regularly, thank you, and it should be no surprise that Watson is the lead dog this week. Charley Hoffman has been heartbroken here before but gets it low and Hahn and Rodgers check the first-timers box.

Ryan O’ Sullivan ($14,097,279; Rank: 1,156)

@RyanGolfBlogger

Group 1: Bubba Watson

Group 2: Charley Hoffman

Group 3: Morgan Hoffmann

Group 4: Patrick Rodgers

ANALYSIS: Rob and O match three of four groups so I’m at least going to find separation down the ladder this week, one way or the other. I’m not sure if this is good news or bad news at the moment.

Ned Brown ($15,337,701; Rank: 349)

@Esoxgolf

Group 1: Bubba Watson

Group 2: Graham DeLaet

Group 3: Brian Davis

Group 4: Tommy Gainey

ANALYSIS: DeLaet was a last-minute scratch for Koepka as I assumed that my cohorts would be loading up on him. The leader did. Ned has gone grizzled veteran in Groups 3 and 4 with both players having excellent course form in Connecticut.
