Welcome to Playing the Tips!
Each week this will be the one-stop resource to soak in all the picks from our fantasy staffers at Rotoworld.com.
Here is a quick rundown of what sites and formats we will cover each week:
Page 1 will feature all of our selections for GolfChannel.com and Yahoo! Fantasy Golf.
Page 2 will go over One-and-Done as well as Daily Fantasy Golf picks.
Page 3 goes over some European Tour picks for the Fantasy Race to Dubai
Before we look ahead, Mo Yoshimoto takes a look at last week's action in his AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Recap.
Now for the picks...
GolfChannel.com Fantasy Golf
Last Week: 401 points
Last Week Rank: 3242
J.B. Holmes ($28,100)
Brendan Steele ($22,200)
Harris English ($16,200)
Keegan Bradley ($13,200)
Patrick Rodgers ($10,900)
Luke List ($8,500)
ANALYSIS: A heap of course history studs at the top and then Rodgers and List as flyers. Rodgers went to Stanford and should be just fine on poa annua greens having played in the area for quite a while. List finished T20 in his debut here last year.
Last Week: 420 points
Last Week Rank: 1845
Dustin Johnson ($33,300)
Jordan Spieth ($33,300)
Keegan Bradley ($13,200)
Martin Laird ($11,700)
Charlie Beljan ($3,500)
John Merrick ($3,500)
ANALYSIS: Ryan is going for the ultra Stars & Scrubs approach. If DJ and Spieth both grab top 5s with one of them winning, he'll give himself a nice cushion. Just need wildcards Beljan and Merrick to relive some of their psat success at Riviera CC.
Last Week: 351 points
Last Week Rank: 8,536
Hideki Matsuyama ($33,300)
Adam Scott ($33,200)
Brian Harman ($13,500)
Luke List ($8,500)
Seung-Yul Noh ($6,100)
Nick Watney ($4,600)
ANALYSIS: A great mix of form and course history on this team. Watney is certainly showing signs of life again, and could be ready to burst before he leaves his home state of California. List was scorching to start the season and could easily find that spark again at Riviera CC (T20 in debut).

*Make sure you check our Twitter accounts for any updates before the first tee ball flies on Thursday. Change in weather, tee times, etc. can always lead to last-minute changes and we will let you know through our social media channels.
Genesis Open Strategy: This classical layout generally favors those with some course knowledge, much like Augusta National. For that reason, I would suggest leaning on course history when you need a tiebreaker. Other than that, weather looks dicey on Friday, so keep an eye out for the forecast. By Wednesday night, one of the tee-time waves could look to have an advantage.
“Future of Fantasy”
Last Week Points: 165
Season Points: 934
Season Rank: 13,469
Dustin Johnson: He's done everything but win here at Riviera CC. Finished third last year, as well.
Brendan Steele: The Cali native should feel right at home this week. He's opened the season with a bang, and there is no reason to get off the train now.
=SUPER SUBS =
Jason Day, Patrick Reed, Marc Leishman, Branden Grace, Adam Scott
Hideki Matsuyama: First start since his WMPO victory. Here at Riviera CC he's rattled off T23, T4, and T11 in three appearances.
Phil Mickelson: He's returning to Riviera CC for the first time since 2012. It's clear that he wants to ride his wave of form into a win this season. This would be a great spot to do that since he already has two wins here in addition to a pair of runner-up finishes.
Jordan Spieth: I ended up scratching Spieth last week from my Yahoo lineup because I wanted to avoid three golfers from the same course wave. Doh! Won't make that same mistake this week.
Paul Casey: Missed the cut in his 2005 debut but since then he's 4-for-4 including a close playoff-lose in the 2015 edition.
Justin Rose, Jimmy Walker, Adam Hadwin, Harris English
J.B. Holmes: Snuck through the cut and then raked over the weekend at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am. Should be able to ride that momentum into an event where he's posted seven finishes of T22 or better in 10 trips.
Sergio Garcia: Fresh off a win in Dubai. At Riviera Country Club he's 8-for-10 with five top-15 finishes.
Charl Schwartzel, Keegan Bradley
