Friday, June 12, 2009

The batch of two-start pitchers for this week is relatively small, but there are plenty of usable guys, so dig in.

Streamer City

The following pitchers are generally available in over 50 percent of fantasy leagues and have favorable match-ups this week:

American League

Tuesday, 6/16: Jeremy Sowers vs. MIL
Sowers owns a 1.69 ERA in three outings since returning from the minors.

Wednesday, 6/17: Nick Blackburn vs. PIT
Blackburn is awfully reliable when pitching at home, and he has been pitching exceedingly well as of late.

Thursday, 6/18: Jarrod Washburn @ SD
Washburn continues to pitch surprisingly well, and has a favorable match-up in San Diego on the docket.

National League

Wednesday, 6/18: Tommy Hanson @ CIN
If the young right-hander is available in your league, he makes a quality streamer play against the Reds this week.

Saturday, 6/20: J.A. Happ vs. BAL
Happ has posted some gaudy numbers and matches up well against the last-place Orioles.
