's setback with his foot injury Thursday dropped him from No. 50 to No. 60.
I initially dropped Bay down to No. 70 before pushing him back up to No. 61 based on his showing the last couple of days. Maybe I'm reading too much into it -- Tigers pitching was simply dreadful in the first two games of the series against the Mets -- but it's good to see Bay hitting for some power again all of a sudden.
Pena has three homers, to go along with a 12/0 K/BB ratio, in 26 at-bats since the Diamondbacks called him up, and I'd really like to see what he'd do as a full-timer. Not that he necessarily deserves the job. Parra is hitting .342/.368/.521 in 73 at-bats for the Diamondbacks over the last 30 days, so he has earned most of the starts in left field. Pena might not be able to hold up physically as a regular outfielder anyway.
I've been long assuming that it'd be Jennings who pushed Fuld aside in Tampa Bay, and if not Jennings, then maybe
Brandon Guyer
would turn out to be a sleeper. Instead, it's Ruggiano who has made a push for the left-field job. I still think Jennings deserves an opportunity, but since he's cooled off in Triple-A, I don't know when it might happen. He and Fuld both fall in the rankings. I don't have high expectations for Ruggiano, who debuts at No. 113.
I do wonder if maybe I should have Reddick in Drew's spot and Drew in Reddick's. The youngster certainly looks like the better player at the moment. Still, the Red Sox don't appear ready to make a switch.
