Welcome to the June third baseman rankings. Players are ranked based on how I believe they will perform in 5x5 leagues over the remainder of the season. Along with the position rankings, you'll soon find a fully updated top 250 list.

Third Baseman Rankings
Dropping off: Mat Gamel (20th), Juan Uribe (34th)
- Miguel Cabrera would have come in ahead of Jose Bautista had I ranked him at third base in the preseason (he hadn't qualified there yet, so I didn't), and the only real question now was whether to drop Bautista below David Wright or any other third basemen. I was giving it some thought before the recent power binge, but I probably wasn't going to anyway.
- Especially since I did move the first basemen over, third base is looking awfully strong at the moment. In fact, the 11-20 range here is much stronger than it is over at first base.
- I'm still not a big believer in Mark Trumbo -- at least not in his ability to hit for average -- but I couldn't really go any lower than 15 on him, not when he's stinging everything lately. I'm sure some will take issue with the choice to rank him behind Mark Reynolds (among others), but Reynolds has quietly hit .340 with three homers in 15 games since coming off the DL.
