September Second Baseman RanksTuesday, September 03, 2013
Welcome to the September second baseman rankings. As always, players are ranked based on how I believe they will perform in 5x5 scoring over the rest of the season. I try to list players at the positions at which they're most valuable, so if you can't find that second baseman you're looking for, check shortstop instead. Included along with the position rankings you'll find a fully updated top 300 list.

Second Baseman Rankings
Dropping Off: Rickie Weeks (No. 13), Chris Nelson (No. 31), Yuniesky Betancourt (No. 36), Steve Lombardozzi (No. 37), Brock Holt (No. 38), Jerry Hairston Jr. (No. 40)
- Stolen base machine Emilio Bonifacio isn't all that close to cracking the top 10 from his spot at No. 11 -- he's almost 60 spots back of Neil Walker in the top 300 -- but he should make for an asset in mixed leagues since turning into a fixture in Kansas City's lineup. He's 11-for-11 stealing bases in 19 games since joining the Royals.
- Surprisingly, Kolten Wong has been a non-factor in St. Louis since starting four games in five days when he was first called up. He stole three bases in those four games, but he has one hit and no steals since Aug. 21. Third baseman David Freese hasn't exactly stepped his game up in reclaiming his starting job, but he seems to have it back anyway.
