Wrap-up: Texas Motor Speedway

The Texas Motor Speedway hosted the Nationwide Series O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 on Saturday and the Sprint Cup Duck Commander 500 on Monday (was originally scheduled for Sunday but was postponed due to rain). The Camping World Truck Series returns to action with the SFP 250 on Friday, May 9 at Kansas Speedway. The latest results on the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR “Home Tracks” are also shown below.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
Time Trials:
Tony Stewart won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Duck Commander 500 with a lap of 27.628 seconds, 195.454 mph. This is the No. 14 Chevrolet SS driver's 15th pole in 528 NSCS races. It is his first pole and third top-10 start in 2014 and second pole in 24 races at Texas Motor Speedway. Stewart led 74 laps and finished the race in 10th place.
Did Not Qualify: No. 33 David Stremme, No. 83 Ryan Truex, No. 66 Joe Nemechek and No. 44 J.J.Yeley.
Joey Logano won the Duck Commander 500, his fourth victory in 190 NSCS races. This is the No. 22 Ford Fusion driver's first victory and fourth top-10 finish in 2014. It is his first victory and fourth top-10 finish in 12 races at Texas Motor Speedway. Logano is the youngest winner in TMS history in NASCAR Sprint Cup: 23 years, 10 months, 14 days.

Time Trials:
Sprint Cup (No. 4 Chevrolet SS) regular Kevin Harvick won the Coors Light Pole Award for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300 with a lap of 29.195 seconds, 184.963 mph. This is the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro driver's 25th pole in 305 NNS races. It is his first NNS pole and fourth top-10 start in 2014 and his first pole in 16 NNS races at Texas Motor Speedway. Harvick led 101 laps (the most) and finished the race in fourth place.
Did Not Qualify: None, only 40 entries for 40 spots.
Winner: Chase Elliott won the O'Reilly Auto Parts 300, his first victory in six NNS races. Elliott is the second-youngest winner in series history, at 18 years, 4 months and 8 days. It is the No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro driver's sixth top-10 finish in 2014.
