Wrap-up: Kentucky Speedway

This past weekend, all three NASCAR premier series raced under the lights at Kentucky Speedway in Sparta, KY. On Thursday night, the Camping World Truck Series featured the UNOH 225. Friday night, the Nationwide Series ran the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 400. The Sprint Cup Quaker State 400 was held on Saturday night. The latest results on the ARCA Racing Series and the NASCAR “Home Tracks” are also shown below.

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series
Time Trials:
Brad Keselowski won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Quaker State 400 with a lap of 28.603 seconds, 188.791 mph. Keselowski won the pole for the Nationwide Series race as well earlier the same day. This is the No. 2 Ford Fusion driver's sixth pole in 178 NSCS races. It is his third pole and 13th top-10 start in 2014. Keselowski set a new track record in the third and final round of qualifying with his 188.791 mph lap. The track record for Kentucky Speedway was previously held by Dale Earnhardt Jr., at 183.636 mph (06/30/2013). 23 cars broke the previous track record during this qualifying session.
Did Not Qualify: None, only 42 cars entered for 43 slots.
Winner: Brad Keselowski won the Quaker State 400, his 12th victory in 178 NSCS races. This is the No. 2 Ford Fusion driver's second victory and ninth top-10 finish in 2014. This is his second victory and third top-10 finish in four races at Kentucky Speedway. He has led a series high 346 laps in those four starts.

Time Trials: 
Sprint Cup regular (No. 2 Ford Fusion) Brad Keselowski won the Coors Light Pole Award for the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300 with a lap of 30.802 seconds, 175.313 mph. This is the No. 22 Ford Mustang driver's 15th pole in 209 NNS races. It is his third NNS pole in 2014 and his first pole in five NNS races at Kentucky Speedway. He led 138 laps, had to serve a pass-thru penalty for speeding in the pits, but worked his way back up to finish in second place. This is his seventh top-10 finish in seven NNS races at Kentucky Speedway.
Did Not Qualify: No. 84 Chad Boat, No. 74 Kevin Lepage and No. 76 Tommy Joe Martins.
Winner: Sprint Cup regular (No. 4 Chevrolet SS) Kevin Harvick won the John R. Elliott HERO Campaign 300, his 42nd victory in 309 NNS races. This is the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro driver's second NNS victory and eighth top-10 finish in 2014. It is Harvick's second victory and fifth top-10 finish in five NNS races at Kentucky Speedway.

This is the No. 51 Toyota Tundra driver's 15th pole in 120 NCWTS races. It is his third pole and fifth top-10 start in 2014. This is his first pole in five NCWTS races at Kentucky Speedway.
Did Not Qualify: None, only 32 trucks entered for the 36 spots.
Winner: Kyle Busch won the UNOH 225, his 40th victory in 120 NCWTS races. This is the No. 51 Toyota Tundra driver's fifth victory and fifth top-10 finish in 2014. This is his second victory and fifth top-10 finish in five NCWTS races at Kentucky Speedway.
