Wrapup: Kansas Speedway

Kansas Speedway (KS) hosted two NASCAR top series events this past weekend. On Friday night, the 1.5-mile oval in Kansas City, KS featured the Camping World Truck Series Toyota Tundra 250. The Go Bowling 400 for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series was held on Saturday evening. The XFINITY Series will return to action on Saturday, May 27, with the Hisense 4k TV 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. The results and upcoming scheduled events for the ARCA Racing Series, NASCAR Home Tracks and other covered series are also shown below.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)
Time Trials: Ryan Blaney (No. 21 Motorcraft/Quick Lane Tire & Auto Center Ford Fusion) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Go Bowling 400 with a lap of 189.600 mph. This is his first pole in 65 MENCS races. It is his seventh top-10 start in 2017. Joey Logano (second) posted his eighth top-10 start of 2017 and his 10th in 16 races at KS. Martin Truex Jr. (third) posted his 11th top-10 start at KS and his eighth in 11 races this season. Daniel Suarez (15th) was the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender.
Did Not Qualify: No one. Only 40 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.

Results: Martin Truex Jr. (No. 78 Auto-Owners Insurance Toyota Camry) won the Go Bowling 400, his ninth victory in 416 MENCS races. This is his second victory and seventh top-10 finish in 2017. It is his first victory and sixth top-10 finish in 18 races at KS. Brad Keselowski (second) posted his eighth top-10 finish in 15 races at KS and his ninth top-10 finish in 2017. Kevin Harvick (third) posted his 12th top-10 finish in 23 races at KS. Daniel Suarez (seventh) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender. Pole-sitter Ryan Blaney led 83 laps and finished the 267-lap race in fourth place.

Standings: Kyle Larson leads the point standings by 44 points over Martin Truex Jr.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)
Time Trials: Christopher Bell (No. 4 SiriusXM Toyota Tundra) won the Keystone Light Pole Award for the Toyota Tundra 250 with a lap of 177.848 mph. This is his second pole in 34 NCWTS races. It is his second pole and fourth top-10 start in 2017 and his first pole in two races at KS. Matt Crafton (second) posted his fourth top-10 start of 2017 and his seventh in 17 races at KS. Johnny Sauter (third) posted his sixth top-10 start at KS and his fourth in four races this season. Noah Gragson (fourth) was the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender.
Did not qualify: No one. Only 32 entries for 32 truck field.

Results: MENCS regular Kyle Busch (No. 18 Toyota), driving his No. 51 Cessna Toyota Tundra, won the Toyota Tundra 250, his 47th victory in 135 NCWTS races. This is his first victory and first top-10 NCSTS finish in 2017. It is his second victory and third top-10 finish in four NCWTS races at KS. Johnny Sauter (second) posted his sixth top-10 finish in nine races at KS. It is his third top-10 finish in 2017. John Hunter Nemechek (third) posted his first top-10 finish in two races at KS. Chase Briscoe (fifth) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender. Pole-sitter Christopher Bell led 37 laps and finished the 167-lap race in fourth place.
