Wrapup: Darlington, CTMP

Darlington Raceway in South Carolina hosted the XFINITY Series 148-lap (one-lap overtime) Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200 on Saturday and the Monster Energy Cup Series 367-lap Bojangles' Southern 500 on Sunday. The Camping World Truck Series headed north of the border for the 64-lap Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Ontario's Canadian Tire Motorsport Park road course. The results and upcoming scheduled events for the ARCA Racing Series, NASCAR Home Tracks and other covered series are also shown below.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)
Time Trials: Kevin Harvick (No. 4 Busch Beer Throwback Ford Fusion) won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Bojangles' Southern 500 with a lap of 177.730 mph. This is his 21st pole in 599 MENCS races. It is his fourth pole and 16th top-10 start in 2017 and his second pole in 21 races at Darlington Raceway. Martin Truex Jr. (second) posted his 20th top-10 start of 2017 and his fifth in 12 races at Darlington. Kyle Busch (third) posted his eighth top-10 start at Darlington and his 21st in 25 races this season. Erik Jones (10th) was the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender.    
Did not qualify: No one. 40 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.

Results: Denny Hamlin (No. 11 Sport Clips Toyota) won the Bojangles' Southern 500, his 31st victory in 423 MENCS races. This is his second victory and 14th top-10 finish in 2017. It is his second victory and 10th top-10 finish in 12 races at Darlington. Kyle Busch (second) posted his eighth top-10 finish in 13 races at Darlington. Kurt Busch (third) posted his seventh top-10 finish in 21 races at Darlington. Erik Jones (fifth) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender. Pole-sitter Kevin Harvick led 22 laps and finished the 367-lap race in ninth place.

Standings: Martin Truex Jr. leads the point standings by 107 points over Kyle Busch. Truex has also clinched
the MENCS Regular Season championship.

NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS)
Time Trials: MENCS regular Denny Hamlin, driving the NXS No. 18 Sports Clips Toyota Camry, won the Coors Light Pole Award for the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200 with a lap of 172.209 mph. This is his 21st pole in 159 NXS races. It is his first pole and fourth top-10 NXS start in 2017 and his fifth pole in ten NXS races at Darlington. Another Cup driver, Kevin Harvick (second), posted his third top-10 NXS start of 2017 and his ninth in 15 NXS races at Darlington. Daniel Hemric (third), the fastest qualifying Rookie of the Year contender, posted his first top-10 start at Darlington and his 18th in 24 races this season.
Did not qualify: No. 15 Reed Sorenson.

Results: Denny Hamlin won the Sport Clips Haircuts VFW 200, his 17th victory in 159 NXS races. This is his second victory and third top-10 NXS finish in 2017. It is his fifth victory and 10th top-10 finish in ten NXS races at Darlington. Cup driver Joey Logano (second) posted his fifth top-10 finish in six NXS races at Darlington and his ninth top-10 NXS finish in 2017. Another Cup driver, Kevin Harvick (third), posted his ninth top-10 finish in 15 NXS races at Darlington. William Byron (fifth) was the highest finishing Rookie of the Year contender.

Standings: Elliott Sadler leads the point standings by 91 points over William Byron.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)
Time Trials: Austin Cindric (No. 19 Draw-Tite/Reese Ford F-150) won the 21 Means 21 Pole Award for the Chevrolet Silverado 250 at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) with a lap of 112.623 mph. This is his first pole in 21 NCWTS races. It is his seventh top-10 start in 2017. Justin Haley (second) posted his sixth top-10 start of 2017 and his first in two races at CTMP. Kaz Grala (third) posted his second top-10 start at CTMP and sixth in 15 races this season.
Did not qualify: No one. 32 trucks entered for the 32-truck field.

Results: Austin Cindric won the Chevrolet Silverado 250, his first victory in 21 NCWTS races. This is his ninth top-10 finish in 2017 and his first top-10 finish in two races at CTMP. Noah Gragson (second) posted his first top-10 finish in his first start at CTMP. It is his 10th top-10 finish in 2017. Kaz Grala (third) posted his first top-10 finish in two races at CTMP.

Standings: Christopher Bell leads the point standings by 30 points over Johnny Sauter.
