Wrap-up: Kansas Speedway

The Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas was the site of two NASCAR top-level series races this past weekend. On Friday night, the Camping World Truck Series held it's 167-lap 37 Kind Days 250 at the 1.5-mile oval. On Saturday night, the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series closed the weekend with the 267-lap KC Masterpiece 400. The results and upcoming scheduled events for the NASCAR Home Tracks and others are also shown below.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS)
Time Trials: Kevin Harvick (No. 4 Busch Light Ford) won the Busch Pole Award for the KC Masterpiece 400 with a lap of 188.811 mph. This is his 23rd pole in 622 MENCS races and fourth in 25 races at Kansas Speedway. It is his second pole and 11th top-10 start in 2018. Ryan Blaney (second) posted his seventh top-10 start of 2018 and his fourth in seven races at Kansas. Kyle Busch (third) posted his 12th top-10 start at Kansas and his eighth in 12 races this season. William Byron (13th) was the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender.
Did not qualify: No one. 38 cars entered for 40 spots in the lineup.

Results: Pole-sitter Kevin Harvick led 79 laps and won the 267-lap KC Masterpiece 400, his 42nd victory in 622 MENCS races. It is his third win and 14th top-10 finish in 25 races at Kansas Speedway. This is his fifth victory and 10th top-10 finish in 2018. Martin Truex Jr. (second) posted his eighth top-10 finish in 20 races at Kansas and seventh top-10 finish in 2018. Joey Logano (third) posted his seventh top-10 finish in 18 races at Kansas. Darrell Wallace Jr. (23rd) was the highest finishing Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender.

Standings: Kyle Busch leads the point standings by 12 points over Joey Logano.

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS)
Time Trials: Noah Gragson (No. 18 Safelite Toyota Tundra) won the Pole Award for the 37 Kind Days 250 with a lap of 176.678 mph. This is his fifth pole in 31 NCWTS races and first in two races at Kansas. It is his second pole and fifth top-10 start in 2018. Cody Coughlin (second) posted his fourth top-10 start of 2018 and his first in three races at Kansas. Matt Crafton (third) posted his eighth top-10 start at Kansas and his fifth in six series races this season. Dalton Sargeant (11th) was the fastest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender.
Did not qualify: No. 1 Camden Murphy.

Results: Noah Gragson won the 37 Kind Days 250, his second NCWTS career victory and first in two races at Kansas. This is his first win and third top-10 finish in 2018. Gragson led 128 laps of the 167 lap event. Cup Series regular Kyle Busch (second) posted his fourth top-10 finish in five races at Kansas. It is his second top-10 NCWTS finish in 2018. Stewart Friesen (third) posted his first top-10 finish in two races at Kansas. Dalton Sargeant (11th) was the highest finishing rookie.

Standings: Johnny Sauter leads the point standings by 35 points over Noah Gragson.
