Nate Robinson Bulls - 50% owned in Yahoo Leagues – Robinson was the cover boy for this column last week and nothing has changed. Yes, Derrick Rose should eventually come back and rain on his parade, and it could happen sooner than later, but I am going to ride Robinson until it happens. I also think there’s a decent chance that he will continue to have fantasy value as a combo-guard even when Rose is back. He’s killing it right now, averaging 16.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 8.6 assists, 1.4 steals and 2.8 3-pointers over his last five while shooting 27-of-56 (48%) over his last four.
Jerryd Bayless Grizzlies – 32% owned – Bayless went off as a starter when Mike Conley was injured, as well as when the Rudy Gay trade went down, but he’s still relevant now that he’s coming off the bench. He’s averaging 18.4 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.8 3-pointers over his last five games. He came off the bench in the last three of those, but is still averaging 27 minutes, 19 points and 2.3 3- pointers over those three games.
Danny Green Spurs – 51% owned - Green has been hot over his last four games, averaging 19 points, 3.25 rebounds, 2.25 assists, 1.75 steals, 1.25 blocks and a whopping 4.5 3-pointers per game during that stretch. He’s got young legs and Gregg Popovich won’t be afraid to ride him hard down the stretch while guys like Manu Ginobili and Tim Duncan are resting on the bench.
Dion Waiters Cavaliers – 62% owned – Waiters was hot going into Saturday’s game, scoring 12, 19 and 15 points in his previous three games, but was just 1-of-6 for three points in that one. He’s still getting 26 minutes per game lately and while he has hit just one 3-pointer in his last five games, they should be coming soon.
Marco Belinelli Bulls – 8% owned – Belinelli is playing through a sprained ankle and is averaging 14 points and 4.5 assists over his last four games. He was pretty cold prior to that, as Jimmy Butler was stealing a lot of his minutes, and scored eight or fewer points in five straight games. But his minutes are back on the rise and he’s scored 18, 5, 24 and 9 points in each of his last four games, averaging 28 minutes per game. He’s hit just two 3-pointers in his last five games, but more should be coming soon.
Alec Burks Jazz – 1% owned – Burks had a career-best 24 points on Saturday and is averaging 26 minutes over his last five games. His numbers over those five clock in at 11.2 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 0.8 steals, 0.4 blocks and 1.4 3-pointers on 45 percent shooting. As long as Gordon Hayward’s shoulder keeps him out, Burks is going to continue to see nice run. Hayward has missed eight straight games, but could return some time in the near future. But as long as he’s out, Burks is worth a short-term look, and should put up some decent numbers the rest of the way, as he’s earned more playing time going forward.
