Dallas @ Cleveland 1:00
Both teams are pretty injury free, meaning that the usual suspects should have a nice day. Monta Ellis, Dirk Nowitzki, Jose Calderon, Shawn Marion, Kyrie Irving, Luol Deng, Anderson Varejao and Tristan Thompson should all be quality plays. Owners with a taste for danger can also look at Samuel Dalembert, Vince Carter, Dion Waiters, Brandan Wright, DeJuan Blair and C.J. Miles. I’ve got the Cavs in an upset.
LA Clippers @ Detroit 1:00
Chris Paul is the only injured player here, so the Clips should get nice output from Darren Collison, J.J. Redick, Jamal Crawford, Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan, while the Pistons should be ready for big lines from Brandon Jennings, Greg Monroe and Josh Smith. Jared Dudley could be a sneaky play for the Clippers, while Rodney Stuckey and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope could work out for the Pistons. Clips win this one, running away.
Toronto @ Charlotte 2:00
Kemba Walker will miss the week with his ankle injury, putting Ramon Sessions into serious play, while Al Jefferson and Gerald Henderson look like strong plays for the Bobcats. For the Raptors, Kyle Lowry, DeMar DeRozan, Terrence Ross and Jonas Valanciunas all look like strong plays. For both teams, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist, John Salmons (back) and Amir Johnson look like decent rolls of the dice.
Philadelphia @ Washington 2:00
The Sixers should get nice performances out of Michael Carter-Williams, Evan Turner, Thaddeus Young (I’m looking for a bounce-back game), and Spencer Hawes. For the Wizards, John Wall, Bradley Beal, Trevor Ariza, Nene and Marcin Gortat all look like strong plays. Wizard forwards Martell Webster and Trevor Booker are also decent options in deeper leagues today, especially against the porous Sixers defense. James Anderson is also a sneaky option for the Sixers.
Brooklyn @ New York 2:30
Deron Williams is hoping to return and play in this one, which means he should be a solid fantasy play. Shaun Livingston, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are also solid plays for the Nets. Andray Blatche and Mirza Teletovic are also options here, but could be hit-or-miss.
For the Knicks, Raymond Felton, Carmelo Anthony and Tyson Chandler are all strong plays, while Andrea Bargnani should have a nice game with Kenyon Martin and Amare Stoudemire in street clothes. J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert are also options, but Smith is the guy I’d recommend going with here. He’s coming on, as documented in Waiver Wired.
