Fanduel Partners Friday Lineup

Friday, March 18, 2016

I’ve had some trouble racking up big numbers lately, but am still hanging around the money in fourth place with three nights left in this challenge (Wednesday, Friday and Wednesday). I stayed away from the Thunder because you have to think their game against Philly will be over by halftime. Yes, Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant can both get a lot done in the first half, but I’d rather take my chances with four-quarter players. It’s early and I could change my mind before deadline time, but here’s what I’ll likely be going with tonight.

My Early Lineup

PG Damian Lillard vs. NOP $8,900

PG Darren Collison vs. DET $5,700

SG James Harden vs. MIN $10,300

SG C.J. McCollum vs. NOP $6,400

SF Andrew Wiggins vs. HOU $6,500

SF Al-Farouq Aminu vs. NOP $4,000

PF Anthony Davis vs. POR $10,200

PF Amir Johnson vs. TOR $3,800

C Bismack Biyombo vs. BOS $4,200

Point Guards

Damian Lillard gets the banged up Pelicans and his salary is much more manageable than those of Stephen Curry and Russell Westbrook. The Pelicans aren’t great against opposing point guards, Lillard is due for a big night, and this game has a 218 over/under, which is above average.

Rajon Rondo is iffy again with his toe injury and the Kings don’t have much going for them at shooting guard. Therefore, Darren Collison should get all the minutes he can handle again tonight.

Shooting Guards

James Harden will take on the Timberwolves and is generally good for 50 Fanduel points a night. The Wolves don’t usually slow down opposing two-guards and the Rockets-Wolves game is expected to be one of the highest scoring of the night.

The Pelicans are awful defensively and C.J. McCollum should join Lillard and have a big game tonight, as usual.

Small Forwards

Andrew Wiggins really burned me on Wednesday night and I’m a little nervous about using him tonight. The Rockets have been the fourth-worst team in the league against opposing small forwards for the last few weeks and Wiggins is due for a bounce-back game.

Small forwards are tough to come by if you’re not using Kevin Durant or LeBron James, and I was torn between Michael Beasley and Al-Farouq Aminu for my second one. I didn’t like Beasley’s low minutes in his previous game and with Meyers Leonard down and out for the Blazers, Aminu should have a solid opportunity. He’s been averaging just under 22 FD points over his last three games, the Pelicans don’t usually stop opposing forwards, and Leonard is on the shelf.

Power Forwards

Anthony Davis has generally been good to me lately and has been playing well over the last few weeks. The Blazers can be had up front and I like the chances of this game not being a blowout.

I don’t trust Amir Johnson, nor do I really like him. But he’s got a revenge scenario against the Raptors, he’s averaging a double-double over his last two games and had 33.9 FD points against the Thunder on Wednesday. And he’s cheap.

Centers

I still can’t figure out why I didn’t use Bismack Biyombo in Fanduel on Thursday night, but it certainly cost me. Since me and the rest of the universe won’t be sleeping on Biyombo tonight, he’ll probably let me down. But he went nuts last night with 16 points, 25 rebounds and 50 FD points. He’s been cooking over his last three games and as long as Jonas Valanciunas is out again tonight, I’m rolling with BB.
