Point Guards

Austin Rivers Clippers 64% owned in Yahoo! leagues – Rivers is rolling with Patrick Beverley out for the season and Milos Teodosic out indefinitely, averaging 17 points, 2.8 rebounds, 5.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.8 3-pointers on 45 percent shooting over his last five games. That percentage would look a lot better without Saturday’s 4-of-15 performance included, but he had a couple blocks and a 3-pointer in that ugly loss to Dallas. He should be owned everywhere at this point. Just know that the Clips only have two games this week.

Kris Dunn Bulls 60% – Dunn is all over the place right now, shooting 2-of-17 last Friday and Sunday for a total of eight points in two games, then caught fire on Tuesday and Thursday, hitting 19-of-27 shots for 43 points and 13 assists in two games, then crashed on Friday with six points on 2-of-9 shooting, but he did have eight dimes and three steals in that one. When you mix it all up, he’s averaging 11.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.2 3-pointers on 43 percent shooting over those five games. He’s going to have his ups and downs as he learns to play, but he’s the Bulls’ point guard for the future and should be owned everywhere.

Tyler Ulis Suns 6% - Ulis is starting for the Suns and has been playing better, scoring in double figures in three of his last five games. He’s averaging 10.8 points, 3.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.6 3-pointers on 48 percent shooting over that stretch. Mike James, the Suns’ other point guard, is at 10.2 points, 3.4 rebounds, 5.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 0.8 3-pointers over the same stretch, but Ulis seems to be coming on a bit.

J.J. Barea Mavericks 26% - Barea is hanging in there with Seth Curry still out with his leg injury and is averaging 12 points, 2.8 rebounds, 8.0 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.0 3-pointers on 47 percent shooting. He’s available in a ton of leagues but has played well enough to be owned. Additionally, the Mavs go four times this week.

Tom Satoransky Wizards 4% - We still don’t know when John Wall (knee) will be back and Satoransky has outplayed starter Tim Frazier, averaging 14.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 6.0 assists and a 3-pointer over his last two games, hitting 9-of-13 shots. The Wiz play four times this week, so if you own a two-gamer like Chris Paul, Austin Rivers, Lonzo Ball, Goran Dragic or Damian Lillard, Satoransky could be a sneaky add. Just don’t cut any of the guys with two games.

Shooting Guards

Alec Burks Jazz 21% – Burks is on fire, scoring in double digits in four of his last five games, while scoring 24 on Friday and 28 on Thursday. He’s averaging 18 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 2.0 3-pointers on 56 percent shooting over his last five. He’s going to be a hot pickup on Sunday and Monday, especially with the Jazz going four times this week.

Jeremy Lamb Hornets 66% – Despite the return of Nicolas Batum, Lamb has kept it going, averaging 15.4 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.0 steals, 1.2 blocks and 1.2 threes on 43 percent shooting over his last five games. He’s also scored in double digits in nine straight games and should be owned everywhere.

Courtney Lee Knicks 63% – Lee is heating up, scoring in double figures in six straight games heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Magic. He’s averaging 18.6 points over his last four, with five 3-pointers and five steals over that stretch, and had 19 points, five boards, two assists, two steals and a 3-pointer in 35 minutes on Sunday.

Marco Belinelli Hawks 37% – Belinelli’s been pretty solid all season and is averaging 14.4 points, 2.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals and 1.8 3-pointers on 47 percent shooting over his last five games. The Hawks are beat up and looking for scoring, and he’s been doing just that.

Caris LeVert Nets 16% - LeVert’s not a must-own player, but he’s quietly averaging 11 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.6 steals and 1.2 3-pointers on 44 percent shooting over his last five games. He bounces in and out of the Nets starting unit and would be a little more intriguing if the Nets had four games this week instead of three.
