Rough Day for ForteMonday, November 26, 2012
It’s been a frustrating couple of weeks for Matt Forte’s fantasy owners (an average of just 52 total yards with no scores during Weeks 10 and 11), and on Sunday things got even worse: Forte (14 rush, 42 yds, lost fumble) was knocked out in the third quarter with a right ankle injury.
He was able to walk off the field (rather than being carted off), but this injury – to the same ankle he injured earlier in the year – obviously makes Forte a major question mark for Week 13. As a result, Michael Bush (21-60-2) becomes a must-add off the waiver wire in most formats.
In other injury news…
Jalen Parmele’s reign as the Jaguars’ starting RB has been interrupted. Parmele left Sunday’s game with a leg injury, came back, and then left for good after aggravating said injury. Rashad Jennings, who was banished to many a waiver wire heading into Week 12, is suddenly worth a look if you’re desperate for a Week 13 RB. Jennings posted an uninspiring (but at least mildly useful) 16-43-1 line on Sunday.

Kyle Rudolph scored a TD in a second straight game (5-55-1), but sustained a concussion in the process. Rudolph has averaged six catches for 60 yards and a touchdown in his last two games, but is now a question mark for Week 13 against the Packers. The Vikings are expected to update Rudolph’s status on Monday.
Giants TD vulture Andre Brown (13-64-1) reached the end zone for a fifth straight game, but broke his left fibula in Sunday's win. As a result, explosive rookie David Wilson now becomes the No. 2 RB behind Ahmad Bradshaw, who looked refreshed coming off New York's bye (10-58-1; 2-61), but remains a significant injury risk going forward.
Meanwhile, Brandon Weeden sustained a concussion in the fourth quarter. Weeden obviously isn't much of an option in standard leagues (he has only topped 200 yards once in his last four games), but desperate owners in two-QB formats could potentially squeeze some production out of Colt McCoy against Oakland if Weeden is forced to sit.
Other Injury Notes: Peyton Manning was tested for a concussion, but returned after getting cleared. Ditto Marques Colston and Lance Moore, who returned to Sunday's game after going to the locker room for concussion tests. ... Danny Amendola (heel) was surprisingly active, but had just one catch for 38 yards. … Per ESPN 1500 Twin Cities, Leslie Frazier has "no idea on a timetable" for Percy Harvin's practice schedule this week. ... In addition to Forte, the Bears also saw Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs leave Sunday's game due to ankle injuries, and Devin Hester sustained a concussion. ... Kendall Hunter (ankle) was carted to the locker room, and Kyle Williams may have a serious knee injury, prompting ESPN’s Adam Schefter to tweet: “Get ready for 49ers top 2 picks, A.J. Jenkins and LaMichael James.” … With Beanie Wells back, La’Rod Stephens-Howling received just one carry, and may have aggravated his rib injury.
