Questions

1. Was losing all their good players what the Falcons needed to get going?

2. Can someone explain the running back position to the Miami Dolphins?

3. Is Greg Schiano the worst head coaching hire since … Raheem Morris?

Stats of the Week

Tom Brady has posted a QB rating < 77 in five of seven games this season. Per Bleacher Report’s Erik Frenz, that’s something he did just five times between 2010-12.

Jamaal Charles has both cleared 100 yards from scrimmage and scored a touchdown in every game this season.

Via ESPN Dallas’ Tim MacMahon: “Tony Romo's 27,485 passing yards are the most in NFL history for a QB in his first 100 starts.”

Awards Section

The All Sell High Team: QB Andy Dalton Set to face the Jets, Dalton is highly unlikely to turn the best two-game stretch of his career into the best three-game stretch of his career. This is a peak in a career headed for more arm-strength limitation valleys. RB Jacquizz Rodgers Rodgers’ second straight two-touchdown game was the product of two checkdowns. That is not a recipe for continued success. Sell him while someone might still think he’s good. RB Mike James Were you the winner of the Mike James sweepstakes? Sell him with his value at an all-time high. James could prove useful, but he’ll never be more useful as a trade chip you could turn into a more proven player. WR Jarrett Boykin Boykin was the rare Week 7 fill-in to turn good circumstance into a good game. It’s worth gambling that he won’t do so again. James Jones could be back as soon as Week 8. Boykin will never be more valuable. WR T.Y. Hilton We’re huge fans of Hilton around here, but the hype will likely outpace the reality as owners debate what he might do in the absence of Reggie Wayne. Sell him for more than he’s worth. TE Jordan Reed This is another player Rotoworld has long been high on. But don’t get it twisted — it’s quite possible Sunday will go down as his best game of the season. Keep Reed if he’s your only legitimate starter, but if he was a lottery-ticket backup, cash in with his stock through the stratosphere.

The All Buy Low Team: QB Colin Kaepernick Kaep has been knocking on the door of blowing up for several weeks now. Get him while there’s still time. RB Trent Richardson T-Rich remains a buy low because his detractors — and not his supporters — continue to ignore reality. That is, he’s been a Colt for all of 33 days but faced the 49ers, Seahawks and Broncos (No. 1 run defense) in the process. We’re not going to sit here and tell you T-Rich is a sure thing. But with his stock at an all-time low, he’s a cheap investment that could pay off in a major way. RB Alfred Morris Morris owners are spooked by the emergence of Roy Helu. Ignore the concerns and acquire a player averaging 5.2 yards per carry for an offense that’s back on the rise. WR Justin Blackmon The “told ya so!” crowd will be out in full force after Blackmon’s Week 7 dud. They are wrong. Take advantage of them. WR Josh Gordon Brandon Weeden is terrible. He’s going to occasionally make life hard for his No. 1 receiver. But Gordon is simply too good to worry about. TE Coby Fleener Fleener is maddeningly inconsistent, but will likely be force fed looks in the absence of Reggie Wayne. He’s worth a gander if you’re thin at tight end.

Quote of the Week: “We prepared really hard for Tom Brady.” -- Vontae Davis, following the Colts’ upset victory over the Denver Broncos.

Tweet(s) of the Week: Marcus Vick’s bizarre, foul-mouthed Nick Foles rant.

The Get Well Soon Team: QB Jay Cutler, QB Sam Bradford, RB Arian Foster, RB Doug Martin, WR Reggie Wayne, TE Jermichael Finley

Week 7 Fantasy All Pro Team: QB Andrew Luck, RB Matt Forte, RB Jamaal Charles, WR Calvin Johnson, WR A.J. Green, WR Eric Decker, TE Jordan Reed, TE Rob Gronkowski

Least Valuable Player, Non-Foles Division: Carson Palmer didn’t look like a player near the end of Thursday, but long since past it. He’s torpedoing what little chance the Cardinals had of making a surprising run in the NFC West.

Most Absurd Moment of Week 7: Kind of hard to top what Vontae Davis did, isn’t it?
