Editor's Note: Rotoworld's partner FanDuel is hosting a one-week $65,000 Fantasy Football league for Week 10. It's $25 to join and first prize is $8,500. Starts Sunday at 1pm ET. Here's the link.
This week I feel like there are many ways to build a competitive team. I love Drew Brees against the Cowboys at home, enough to pay the extra for him. Antonio Brown is a favorite of mine for upside and consistency, which is hard to find. Andre Johnson is cheap and worth the price with Case Keenum slinging it. Eddie Lacy is still a nice price and will get a ton of work with Rodgers out. T.Y. Hilton is a must play at his price. Danny Woodhead is consistent and great for 50/50s. Jake Locker has a great matchup. Even Seneca Wallace has upside for his rock bottom price in a good matchup. But here’s my team for the tourney. I tried to make a lineup that will be safe, but at the same time have upside to win a tourney if it goes off.
QB: Eli Manning $6,400 OAK@NYG – Manning isn’t safe. Well, Eli Manning isn’t. But at $6,400 at home off a bye against a Raiders team that just gave up seven touchdowns at home, I’m willing to take the risk in a tournament game.
RB: Reggie Bush $8,500 DET@CHI – Bush may be owned on a good percentage of teams even with his price. This matchup against Chicago is juicy and he played Chicago already and toasted them for 170 yards and a touchdown. And now they are hurting in the front seven even more than when they met the first time.
RB: Marshawn Lynch $8,500 SEA@ATL – Lynch has disappointed in relation to his upside recently. Last week he put up a big game, but wasn’t able to get into the end zone. The Falcons run defense was smoked by Andre Ellington a couple games ago and last week the Panthers three backs totaled 100+ yards and a touchdown. Lynch is due for a big game.
WR: Hakeem Nicks $6,200 OAK@NYG – Nicks is a risk, but his price, matchup and usage are great for a tournament play. He leads the team in red zone targets and overall targets over the last four games and the Raiders, besides have given up the seven touchdowns last week also lost two more defensive backs in that Eagles game, so they are even shorter handed than last week.
WR: Golden Tate $4,500 SEA@ATL – Tate is still the number one target for Seattle and he is cheaper than dirt on FanDuel. The Falcons have given up over two touchdown passes a game this season.
WR: Eric Decker $6,200 DEN@SD – Getting a Broncos’ receiver for this cheap is great in a tournament because you know his upside is huge. Peyton Manning can make all of his receivers worthwhile.
TE: Jimmy Graham $8,700 DAL@NO -- Graham is the one player I’m not willing to fade in a tournament game, especially against Dallas. You know how good Graham has been, so I won’t get into that, but the Cowboys have given up 6.44 receptions and 73 yards per game to tight ends.
K: Garrett Hartley $5,100 DAL@NO – Hartley is averaging the fourth most FanDuel points per game this season and is a cheap $5,100. The Saints should be close enough or have a lead in the dome that he won’t be passed over.
D: Tennessee Titans $5,800 JAC@TEN – I don’t really love any of the defense options this week so I’ll just target Chad Henne and the Jaguars who are giving up the second most points to opposing defenses. The worst game for a defense against them this season was Oakland in Week 2 when they scored nine FanDuel points.
