WR Notes: Vontae Davis (ankle) will either be missing or hobbling against Antonio Brown. Giddy up. … We’re going to have problems if Odell Beckham doesn’t post his first 100-yard game in five weeks against the Browns. Cleveland has allowed the league’s most passing touchdowns (25). … Julio Jones gets Patrick Peterson for Week 12. With the way the Falcons have been moving Jones around the formation, I’ll bet Jones gets his. Jones has 141 more yards than any other receiver. … Amari Cooper (900) is fifth in receiving. He’s caught fewer than five passes just three times in 10 games. He’s posted at least four receptions every time out. Carolina’s defense probably lost some of its momentum with last week’s infirmary ward of a game. Don’t be surprised if Cooper’s floor finds its ceiling this week. … Doug Baldwin is set up for Week 12 success. Not only do the Bucs allow the fourth most receiver fantasy points, they’ll be missing slot CB Jude Adjei-Barimah. That’s mouthwatering news for Baldwin, who runs 77.5 percent of his routes out of the slot.

Jordy Nelson saw his string of 90-yard efforts snapped at three with last week’s 28-yard outing, though he still scored for the fourth time in as many weeks. Arguably no wideout is a better bet to find the end zone. … Josh Norman didn’t shadow Dez Bryant in Week 2, and seems unlikely to do so on Thursday. Finally finding his chemistry with Dak Prescott, Bryant is once again playing as one of the best receivers in football. … Mike Evans’ rank is paying a Richard Sherman tax, though he could find success against a Seahawks defense that’s majorly banged up. RCB Deshawn Shead (hamstring) is amongst the likely absences. … The Cardinals’ lone reliable receiver, Larry Fitzgerald was fine as he played through his knee issue last week. The Falcons (third most receiver fantasy points) are an attackable matchup. … Brandin Cooks is averaging 94 yards per game and 21.4 yards per reception at home. Five of his six touchdowns have come in New Orleans. Fire him up against the Rams. … Demaryius Thomas should avoid stationary Chiefs LCB Marcus Peters. Coming off the Broncos’ bye, Thomas has vacuumed 10 or more targets in five straight games.

Julian Edelman drew 17 targets in Rob Gronkowski’s Week 11 absence. With Gronk expected to sit again, Edelman will be getting the ball all afternoon against washed Jets slot CB Buster Skrine. … Up to WR18 status on the season, Rishard Matthews is the WR4 over the past five weeks. With six touchdowns in his past seven games, he’s been a rich man’s Michael Crabtree. … Kelvin Benjamin somehow hasn’t scored in seven games. I’d like to say he’s due for some positive touchdown regression, but his nine targets inside the 20 don’t jump off the page. He’s an inconsistent WR2. … Jordan Matthews has drawn at least 10 targets each of the past four weeks. He’s seeing the volume to break his touchdown drought (one score since Week 3) against the Packers’ emptied-out secondary. … DeAndre Hopkins has posted more than 60 yards twice in 2016. So is life in the Brock Osweiler economy. … This could be an overreaction on T.Y. Hilton, but Scott Tolzien doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt. With Donte Moncrief (hamstring) suddenly shaky, the Steelers could devote all their defensive attention to Indy’s No. 1 receiver.

Barring a miracle, Stefon Diggs (knee) is out. … Terrelle Pryor is all the way up to WR11 status on the season. Hoovering up targets, the weekly quarterback changes don’t seem to affect Cleveland’s No. 1 receiver. …  Thank god I haven’t put money on it, otherwise I’d be thousands in the hole from betting against Steve Smith Sr. … Consistent in real life, Emmanuel Sanders hasn’t been bringing home the fantasy bacon. Likely to square off with Marcus Peters, the trend is in danger of continuing for Week 12. … Has DeVante Parker surpassed Jarvis Landry as the Dolphins’ No. 1 receiver? Parker is 13/182/1 over the Dolphins’ past two games compared to 11/81/1 for Landry. The production has come since coach Adam Gase declared Parker healthy. Both players have a golden matchup in the 49ers, but Parker’s greater upside gives him the rankings edge. … By Pro Football Focus’ count, Michael Thomas has created the fourth most “missed tackles” amongst receivers. … Merely the WR41 by average points, Brandon Marshall will have his hands full against a Patriots defense sure to designate him as the Jets’ primary weapon.

Tyrell Williams was finally looking like the Chargers’ clear-cut No. 1 receiver before the bye, but we’ll give him a “standby” week with Travis Benjamin returning from injury. … Jamison Crowder is the WR8 by average points over the past five weeks. He’s cleared 100 yards in 3-of-4 games. He has a bromance with QB Kirk Cousins. … Sterling Shepard’s ceiling hasn’t matched his floor, but the floor has been nice of late. He’s a solid touchdown bet against the Browns. … Cole Beasley is quietly the WR26 by average points. He’ll have the advantage against whatever corner the Redskins stick on him in the slot. ... It’s just hard to take Kenny Britt seriously with Jared Goff at quarterback. Goff looked like a high schooler under center in Week 11. He’s not physically ready. … This figures to be an “ease in” week for Sammy Watkins, but you could do worse for a WR3 dart throw if you’re desperate for help. … Adam Thielen is a plug-and-play option if you’re missing Stefon Diggs or Donte Moncrief. … The Bengals’ default No. 1 receiver, Brandon LaFell is battling a knee injury. Tyler Boyd is best left to PPR leagues. … Why play a Bears receiver when you could not play a Bears receiver?
