Claude Giroux: 1 point in 39:28 minutes of power play time.

Jakub Voracek: Zero points in 33:34.

Brayden Schenn: 3 points in 33:12.

Kimmo Timonen: Zero points in 32:34.

Wayne Simmonds: 1 point in 32:10.

Mark Streit: 2 points in 29:33.


The Flyers were 1-6 on the power play and continue to struggle as they are 3-33 this season. Simmonds scored with Brayden Schenn and Giroux assisting. Kimmo Timonen suffered a lower body injury and if he is unable to go, Eric Gustafsson should get power play time behind Streit.



Mike Ribeiro: 2 pointa in 35:46 minutes of power play time.

Oliver Ekman-Larsson: 2 points in 34:35.

Keith Yandle: 1 point in 26:14.

Radim Vrbata: 2 points in 25:51.

Martin Hanzal: 1 point in 25:09.

Shane Doan: 2 points in 22:09.


The Coyotes were 1-12 this week and are now 5-32 this season. Ribeiro scored with Ekman-Larsson and Antoine Vermette picking up assists. Vermette and Yandle received more ice time this week than they had the first two weeks of the season.



Evgeni Malkin: 4 points in 30:32 minutes of power play time.

Sidney Crosby: 6 points in 30:06.

Paul Martin: 1 point in 29:16.

Chris Kunitz: 3 points in 26:07.

Matt Niskanen: 1 point in 21:22.

Jussi Jokinen: 4 points in 17:46.


The Penguins were 2-11 this past week and are now 7-25 this season. Malkin had a hand in both goals as he found the back of the net once and assisted on Kunitz's goal. Martin led the team in ice time this week and assisted while Crosby helped out on both goals.



Kevin Shattenkirk: 3 points in 18:50 minutes of power play time.

Derek Roy: 4 points in 16:58.

Alex Pietrangelo: 3 points in 15:51.

Alexander Steen: 2 points in 15:31.

Chris Stewart: 1 point  in 15:20.

David Backes: 3 points in 14:14.


The Blues were  1-10 this week and are now 7-26 this season. Backes, who is off to a great start, scored with Pietrangelo and Jay Bouwmeester had the assists.



Joe Thornton: 3 points in 38:07 minutes of power play time.

Patrick Marleau: 7 points in 37:45.

Joe Pavelski: 6 points in 36:52.

Logan Couture: 4 points in 36:05.

Matt Irwin: 2 points in 26:10.

Jason Demers: 3 points in 25:31.


The Sharks were 6-21 this week  and are 11-44 this season as they lead the NHL in power play goals.  There were some big weeks for the Sharks as Marleau had two goals and three assists while Pavelski had three goals and one helper. Logan Couture also scored and chipped in with two assists. Thornton had three assists with Demers adding two and Irwin grabbing one. Dan Boyle is currently hurt and that will give Demers more ice time. Tomas Hertl was 10th in ice time this week at 8:04 and has two power play goals this season.



Martin St. Louis: 3 points in 30:28 minutes of power play time.

Steve Stamkos: 2 points in 30:19.

Teddy Purcell: 4 points  in 29:34.

Ryan Malone: 1 point in 26:28.

Matt Carle: 1 point in 23:58.

Sami Salo: 2 points in 23:23.



The Lightning  were 1-14 this week and are now 7-33 this season. Tyler Johnson scored with Valtteri Filppula and Richard Panik drawing assists as the second unit scored the goal.



Dion Phaneuf: 1 point in 35:46 minutes of power play time.

Cody Franson: 5 points 32:18.

Phil Kessel: 2 points in 32:02.

Tyler Bozak: 2 points in 30:47.

James van Riemsdyk: 2 points  in 26:40.

Nazem Kadri: 5 points in 24:16.


The Maple Leafs were 3-12 during the week and are  10-36 this season. Kadri had a goal and an assist while Bozak and Mason Raymond also scored. Franson led the Leafs in ice time and had two helpers while Joffrey Lupul, Morgan Rielly and Dave Bolland had one assist each. 



Daniel Sedin: 2 points in 30:04 minutes of power play time.

Jason Garrison: 2 points in 29:52.

Henrik Sedin: 3 points in 29:52.

Ryan Kesler: 1 point in 28:33.

Alexander Edler: 1 point in 20:31.

Dan Hamhuis: Zero points in 20:06.


The Canucks were 1-8 this week and are now 3-27.  Henrik Sedin scored with Garrison and Kesler drawing the assists.



Alex Ovechkin: 7 points in 32:04 minutes of power play time.

Mike Green: 5 points in 31:02.

Nicklas Backstrom: 6 points in 26:34.

Troy Brouwer: 1 point in 22:28.

Mikhail Grabovski: 5 points in 19:35.

Marcus Johansson: 3 points in 10:50.


The Capitals went 4-11 this week and have alternated having the best and worst power play in the last three weeks. They are currently the best again at 10-30 this season. Joel Ward scored twice with Ovechkin picking up a goal and an assist. Brouwer had the other goal with Green, Johansson. Grabovski and Martin Erat also drawing assists.



Dustin Byfuglien: 4 points in 38:19 minutes of power play time.

Tobias Enstrom: 4 points in 36:15.

Bryan Little: 1 point in 27:27.

Blake Wheeler: 2 points in 27:16

Andrew Ladd: 1 point in 26:48.

Evander Kane: 1 point in 23:58.


The Jets were 0-8 this week and are now 5-32. The Jets are tied for 21st overall in power play efficiency at 14.3 percent.
