Ducks floundering on PP

Claude Giroux: 3 points in 62:08 minutes of power play time.

Jakub Voracek: Zero points in 54:54.

Mark Streit: 3 points in 50:50.

Wayne Simmonds: 2 points in 50:48.

Kimmo Timonen: Zero points in 47:48.

Brayden Schenn: 3 points in 44:23.


The Flyers were 1-13 on the power play and continue to flounder as they are 5-53 this season. Vincent Lecavalier scored the lone goal for the second week in a row while Simmonds and Giroux set him up.



Oliver Ekman-Larsson: 6 points in 62:28 minutes of power play time.

Mike Ribeiro: 3 points in 61:13.

Keith Yandle: 7 points in 51:13.

Radim Vrbata: 6 points in 47:57.

Martin Hanzal: 2 points in 42:05.

Shane Doan: 4 points in 37:31.


The Coyotes were 2-7 this week and are now 11-52 this season. Doan had both goals this week with Yandle setting up both as Yandle has points on all six power play goals in the last two weeks. Ekman-Larsson and Ribeiro also drew assists.



Evgeni Malkin: 6 points in 67:51 minutes of power play time.

Sidney Crosby: 8 points in 66:21.

Paul Martin: 3 points in 62:59.

Chris Kunitz: 5 points in 57:38.

Matt Niskanen: 2 points in 38:01.

Jussi Jokinen: 4 points in 33:49.


The Penguins were 3-12 this past week and are now 11-52 this season. Kunitz had two goals with Kris Letang picking up a goal and an assist. Crosby had two helpers while Malkin, Martin and Niskanen picked up one each. The power play has been better since the return of Letang 10 days ago.



Alexander Steen: 5 points in 35:42 minutes of power play time.

Kevin Shattenkirk: 5 points in 34:35.

Alex Pietrangelo: 6 points in 33:58.

Jay Bouwmeester: 4 points in 30:57.

David Backes: 5 points in 29:40.

T.J. Oshie: 2 points in 28:01.


The Blues were 2-13 this week and are now 12-46 this season. Pietrangelo had a goal and an assist while Steen potted the other. Bouwmeester assisted twice with Backes also picking up a helper. The Blues have the top power play in the NHL at 26.1 percent.



Joe Thornton: 5 points in 61:42 minutes of power play time.

Patrick Marleau: 9 points in 60:55.

Logan Couture: 6 points in 59:45.

Joe Pavelski: 7 points in 59:01.

Jason Demers: 4 points in 42:55.

Matt Irwin: 2 points in 36:38.


The Sharks were 2-10 this week and are 14-65 this season. Couture and Boyle scored with Thornton, Pavelski, Demers and Marleau drawing assists. The Sharks lead the NHL in shots on goal on the power play with 127, well ahead of second place of Anaheim who had 101.



Martin St. Louis: 3 points in 53:52 minutes of power play time.

Steve Stamkos: 4 points in 53:12.

Teddy Purcell: 5 points in 52:13.

Ryan Malone: 2 points in 46:45.

Sami Salo: 2 points in 42:21.

Valtteri Filppula: 5 points in 38:16.


The Lightning were 1-10 this week and are now 12-56 this season. Stamkos scored with Purcell and Malone assisting.



Dion Phaneuf: 1 point in 51:39 minutes of power play time.

Phil Kessel: 4 points in 46:41.

Cody Franson: 7 points in 46:32.

James van Riemsdyk: 4 points in 42:12.

Nazem Kadri: 5 points in 38:08.

Mason Raymond: 3 points in 36:01.


The Maple Leafs were 0-6 during the week and are 12-51 this season.



Daniel Sedin: 4 points in 56:38 minutes of power play time.

Henrik Sedin: 5 points in 56:07.

Ryan Kesler: 3 points in 54:49.

Jason Garrison: 2 points in 53:45.

Alexander Edler: 1 point in 42:05.

Dan Hamhuis: Zero points in 37:37.


The Canucks were 1-18 this week and are now 5-52.  Daniel Sedin scored with Kesler and Henrik Sedin drawing assists.



Mike Green: 6 points in 64:13 minutes of power play time.

Alex Ovechkin: 8 points in 56:45.

Nicklas Backstrom: 8 points in 54:17.

Troy Brouwer: 3 points in 49:06.

Marcus Johansson: 3 points in 35:07

Mikhail Grabovski: 5 points in 25:49.


The Capitals went 2-14 this week and are 13-55 this season. Brouwer had a goal for the third week in a row while Joel Ward also scored. Green, Backstrom, Eric Fehr and Jason Chimera drew assists. Ovechkin has missed the last two games with Fehr taking over from him on the first power play.



Dustin Byfuglien: 5 points in 61:19 minutes of power play time.

Tobias Enstrom: 4 points in 56:59.

Blake Wheeler: 3 points in 46:28

Bryan Little: 1 point in 46:26.

Andrew Ladd: 2 points in 46:12.

Evander Kane: 1 point in 38:01.


The Jets were 1-6 this week and are now 6-55. Wheeler's goal was the Jets first in the last three weeks and 35 chances. Byfuglien and Ladd had assists.
